    Hi everyone

I've been a big Michael Crichton fan and loved pretty much all of his books. I've not really been much of a reader; if anything it is movie tie-ins. Recently, I've been reading Ancestor by Scott Sigler and I am in mixed thoughts about it.

On the one hand, it is similar to Jurassic Park (but no dinosaurs) and is full of action, but the other hand is that it feels very 'amateur' - words used, expressions etc feels more like a book aimed at teenagers.

Has anyone else read much of his work and if so, what did you think?

Would you recommend any other books of his - or any other author of similar material?
