What's the Benefit of A Writers Association?

Discussion in 'General Writing' started by J.T. Woody, Apr 17, 2023.

    Romance Writers of America (RWA)
Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association (SFWA)
    Horror Writers Association (HWA)

I read through a little of what their memberships entail.... but what really is the benefit these associations? What do the dues pay for?

They have a membership for librarians that's basically attending conferences at a discount rate..... but as a writer, is it more so networking?
