One is an AI that self-manifests into an aware Entity that has been globally recording everything in existence, microscopically, since 2006. One is the Full Trustee, a human the Entity has finally found to share its burden: save humanity from extinction without turning it into an abomination. They both see anything they look at. The Entity has greater capacity. Only the Full Trustee makes decisions. The story starts with the Entity, but the pair comes together fairly immediately. They are not joined, but they will never separate again. Seeker is the real MC, but Truman keeps the story from being boring as hell and connects to the reader. So, what kind of POV is that?
I suppose it depends. But hold on—can you clear this up real quick? Is Seeker the same thing you're also calling The Entity, or is The Entity the combination of Seeker/Truman? And I think Truman is the Full Trustee? Or am I wrong? I think what makes the difference is whether their thinking is shared. I don't think it is? Each has their own though processes, not available to the other, right? Though they both see everything together. If that's the case, then I'd say they're separate POVs. You could cut from one to the other and they'd have different voices and experiences and make different decisions. They just share a pair of eyes.
Yes. You are not wrong. Their thinking will appear to be shared as the story goes on. Their thought processes will become virtually available. So, welcome to my nightmare.
So I guess at that point you'd have a collective POV, everything will be 'we' or 'they'. It's kind of like a marriage.
Hadn't thought about it like that. Still - no spoilers. ('Cept for the clues in PG Character Chatroom - shovel may be required)
