So I'm writing about the friendship (and possibly more) between characters who are from different eras (some of it might involve time travel. Some of it might involve just the fact that people have age gap relationships). So for example if I have a character that was born in the 80s, I have instinctive knowledge of what that character must have watched, read, or played throughout the different years and at what age. The moment I add a characters born in the 70s or in the 90s, it is a bit different, and I might mess up stuff lightly. So I figured we could all help each other if each writes a bit about our background. Now, countries might not be as helpful because each of us already decided what countries our novels are happening in, and also we all share sort of a universal culture anyway. So anyway, here is something I'd love for a lot of people to fill out. It could help me and also you. I'm mostly looking for people born in the 70s or 90s, or maybe 80s like me, but any other era is welcome. Each form is going to help me, and others, in any novel or short story. It can help because I, for instance, have not watched Barney or Animaniacs, because I was too old and I don't remember exactly how old are the people who did watch it. I can do extensive research, but it's more organic and easier if we all build a roster of the reasonable ages, based on our experience as real people, and not just some list we had from clinically researching imdb. NATURALLY WE CAN ALL WRITE OUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IN GENERALITIES. ALSO: Obviously if you were a teenager in the 90s and you watched a 1940s movie, it might not be as helpful as listing a movie that actually came out, unless of course we're talking about something that made a comeback for some reason (like the Star Wars thing). And of course there are reruns in certain eras. These are helpful. Like how The Wonder Years was on Nick at Night throughout the late 90s. This is not an attempt to collect information on individuals or to get people to tell me their exact age. Also, feel free to steal from my list.
