Looking for 3 writers to take part another collaboration. The “rules” for this project are not fully formed in my head yet so open to ideas. Just fishing for interest at the moment. Skill/ability doesn’t matter. This is a place for developing writing NOT for producing masterpieces What to expect: - Short story where each person takes turns to write 1000-5000 words within 2 weeks. - Reasonably strict schedule so if you don’t post in time you will be replaced/dropped (don’t want people hanging around waiting forever). - For this story like the idea of s sleuth-like narrative. - Not interested in comedies, fantasy, horror or sci-fi for this particular project (real world - possibly contemporary or 20th century, maybe further back in time, but not prehistoric!) The use of these little projects (for me at least) is to try out new techniques and ideas, to develop ability to adapt to the unexpected - to produce something no matter how the story veers away from where you wished to take it. Note: As one of these little writing projects is already on the go not looking to start anytime soon - maybe beginning of September ...
I’ll get to this once the first one is done I think. Have a bit if a load on atm. Need to think some more about how to go about this too. Hopefully will have something ready to go early October
Last I looked, it was still open. The original 'Writing Project' was finished successfully, in that it did actually finish. We bumbled around for a while, but it produced some good vignettes and actually patched together. I enjoyed the reality of the project and the challenge to adapt and open the mindbone. I think this one is still in a holding pattern atm. Happy to talk about another, here or anywhere!
