Because sometimes a gal (and a guy) just needs a break, I give you Vela Pulsar Music:

Compliments of the real Universe and the scientific technology to enjoy it.

If that's the sound of a real pulsar, then I'm impressed. If, however, it's the sound of my roommate's snoring sped up by a factor of forty or so (as I suspect), then maybe I need to investigate what he's using for sleeping pills these days.

    That was funny, Pheonix.

There are some more sounds from pulsars on this site.
The Vela is unique as pulsars go.

Imagine that the process of becoming a pulsar creates a level of dynamic complexity within the structure of the stupendously compressed matter and it comes to consciousness. Could Vela be communicating? Could it? :)

If so, it's probably just bitching about having to lose weight.

Now that is cool. And kind of hypnotic in an unsettling way. Thanks for sharing!
