Hi everyone! I'm a complete beginner at writing, having pretty much only ever written things for school. As kid I made a few attempts at writing a novel, but those never got further than a couple of paragraphs before I gave it up as boring/too hard. This time though, I'm more interested in the writing its self; instead of concentrating the brilliant novel that may or may not appear, I'm just going to try and enjoy the process. Of course, ideally, the first thing I write will quickly and effortlessly expand in to a brilliant bestselling novel, providing me with enough passive income to never work another day in my life, but I won't get worked up if that doesn't happen. The straw that broke the camel's back and made me finally decide to start doing this was an interview with an author on the radio. I've no idea who he was but he said that there's no such thing as writers block; it's just that what you can write doesn't seem good enough. Does anyone actually read these?
