This cat is now officially mine, took it to the Vet and it's "more healthy than a house-cat", and has no collar, no tag, and nobody seems to be missing a cat. It's hyper as anything, but for some reason it's already trained to use the litterbox when nature calls, and it sleeps in this little kitty-cube thing I got, basically a kitten-sized bed with a ceiling.
Just you wait! Yesterday you saved the kitty. Tomorrow you'll wake up to the sounds of munching as your new kitty eats your potato chips and cheezits! Either that, or my cats are just weird like that.
I can never leave pasta unattended on the coffee table or anything because if I do, my cat will be licking it when I come back.
I've had a sea gulll land at my table and steal fries off my plate. I thought that was pretty bold in terms of animals stealing food.
I had a siamese cat that would go and sit under the coffee table while I was eating. Then a paw would come up, claws out, and feel around the edge of my plate for food. The cat apparently assumed that if it was under the table and I couldn't see it, I also wouldn't see the paw reaching up. Out of sympathy I'd slide a piece of chicken over occasionally and she'd drag it over the edge of the plate and under the table. A few chewing sounds, then the paw would be back, the cat convinced of her strategy.
Joel gave his cat some of my tuna once when I was making a sandwich. After that, every time I would open a can of tuna, there the cat was...just waiting for more.
That's what my cat does every single time I make food. She also will stand up on her back legs and lean her front paws up against me to complain because she wants food.
If you're an independent adult and able to support one and keep it for its whole life, you should totally go get one at a shelter. You won't regret it. Cats are amazing.
