Good idea! I may have to try that out on MY fiance... I speak English, and that's it. I took two and a half years of Spanish in high school and then another two and a half in college, but I can't speak it to save my life...at work today, though, we had a family come in who only spoke Spanish, and that has inspired me to start studying Spanish again and actually LEARN it this time. That way, maybe I'll be able to actually HELP Spanish-speaking customers instead of just saying "lo siento" when I can't understand what they're saying...
Haha I think spoken French sounds so much better than English...ye and it's sexy There's a couple of girls at my school fluent from birth in French or Spanish and I'm jealous!
I speak English and am currently attempting to learn Spanish as a lot of the people I work with right now speak Spanish as their native tongue. As for other languages, I know a tiny bit of latin (from high school) and a bit of Japanese (from watching way too much anime). ~Lynn
I know, but doesn't change the fact that learning what a deponent is/how to use the ablative absolute kills me haha And learning Tacitus off by bloody heart too
Oui, je parle francais, mais je prefere anglais. "Yes, I speak French, but I prefer English." Est-ce que tu aimes moi? "Do you like me?" annddd.. "Je m'appelle Leah, et toi?" "My name is Leah, and you?" is about all I can say. I'm learning, though...
In the past I've studied Spanish and German, but I think I'm going to forget about foreign languages and actually learn mine. I've been thinking about switching over to British spelling, you know, just for fun. I can do german and french, I speak english... except when my kids are in trouble then it is german all the way... I want to learn spanish and Italin (yes my spelling sucks) late, and no sleep
not British spelling...correct spelling ahaha. - burnedout - I'm learning french too, I'd like to live in France mais c'est une langue difficile, a mon avis!
That's funny, Aeroflot; I've also been entertaining the idea of spelling things the "British" way. I'm currently learning Latin in school, and I'd like to learn Italian eventually as well. I'm also very interested in Romanian, Portugese, German, and Finnish, but I'm not sure of whether or not I'll try to pursue any of them in the near future.
