I agree with Gone Wishing. *laughs* Hmm... other than that, the fact that society encourages us to succeed rather than to be happy.
That's pretty true, but they pretty much force us to succeed instead of be happy because the only way to be happy in society to is to succeed.
I'm still not God. I really want to be God right now. I'd smite half of my students to save my time and sanity.
Life's greatest defect at the moment is the splitting headache I have from crying most of the day. Stupid injection time.
I thought of another defect. Spiders. I had to take my dog out the front door this morning because a stupid spider made one of those revolting spiral webs in our back doorway. I was bitten by a brown recluse once. Several times from the same spider, actually. And we went to the acute care clinic and the doctor said it was chiggers. Ummm...even without seeing the spider bites, you probably know that it wasn't chiggers since I lived in the middle of the desert. Well, there's another one. Doctors who have something against saying "I don't know" so they start pulling random ailments out of their hat.
Be glad your doctor wears a hat - you don't wanna know where the rest of them pull the idunno diagnoses from!
I believe life's greatest defect is unnecessary fear. It causes us to do what we feel is safe, depriving us of experiencing potentially life-changing events and circumstances. It has led to struggles between others simply because they appear different. Fortunately, it can be overcome.
I'm working on overcoming my fear. I'm afraid of pretty much everything. Thankfully, I have a good doctor who's helping me.
