Indeed, I as well. If, however, I had to be involved in the judgment, I don't know for certain. Surprisingly, I would not administer capital punishment. I often view capital punishment as a "way out." Perhaps I'm the minority on this, but personally, I'd rather die than serve life in prison. But even life in prison for the attacker (if they attacked someone I knew) wouldn't satisfy. I'd want them to physically suffer over a long period of time. I too would likely do something I would regret. Realistically speaking,as a law, I would approve of a life sentence or a death penalty or similar for rapists. I feel that this would significantly decreases the cases of rape because of the punishment is so severe.
I think this is a situation where how you feel logically about it and how you feel emotionally are two entirely different perspectives. My previous post was my answer from a logical point of view, if I were speaking from an emotional point of view, I'd probably wish every rapist and paedophile spent the rest of their lives in total agony, but I've always believed that two wrongs don't make a right. I find it too hard to give a proper answer because my two perspectives are confused by one another.
Death by Firing Squad. Giving them a life sentance simply gives them time to repent to their God/Goddess if any. Send them to their Hell.
I agree, Daniel. Capital punishment is a cop out- the offender doesn't have to face up to anything. And it wouldn't be enough to satisfy my sick lust for vengeance.
My father rekons that pedophiles and such (with the offender on a crate) should be strung up with piano wire around their genitals and the other end passed over a beam and the other end of the wire attached to a bucket. Every so often a brick goes in the bucket....
Hey- Females can be rapists as well. Men can also be victems of other men/women. Unfortunatly, a lot of men may feel too ashamed to come forward and tell the police.

To be fair, I don't think any of the suggested punishments would be undeserved. They are, however, rather unsavoury.
Anthraxx- I know you mean well and I'm sure that you did not mean it in this context but the way you say RMP (rapists' meeting place) can be taken the wrong way and I am a little.. well.... I am not a rapist and the way I took your post was that you are suggesting that we are rapists. I am not having a go at you, just letting you know that your post may be taken the wrong way.
Sorry...I don't think anyone around here is a rapist... I meant to say (jokingly, of course) that the RMP I wanted to start should be discontinued, seeing you guys don't show mercy to rapists. Anyhow, to prevent flame wars, I might as well flush that post down the drain.
LOL. I know what you mean and I'm glad that I realised you didn't intend it in a negative light! But it's ok. Thankyou for deleting the post though. I didn't mean to sound nasty, just thought I would point out how your post sounded to me. But while I am curious, what made you come up with this subject? If it's personal, it's person and hey, none of our business really, but this could be interesting if thise was incorporated into a story/novel. One person goes through all these 'suggestions of punishment' in order to gain revenge. Hmmm. But yeah, was just wondering seeing as though this is a touchy subject for some and generally a taboo topic in a sense.
Thank God I have no relation to any such incident! God Forbid, I wouldn't want such misery even for my worst enemy. Although someone would use these suggestions (better copy them before they are censored, eh?) for a novel/story, I actually just wanted to know what you people felt about capital punishment for rape. Somehow, most of you want to deal in an even worse manner (a painful death is better than a life of torture, anyhow). This question was mainly because my religion has capital punishment (actually, stoning to death) for a rapist caught, and many consider it 'too much', so I was just seeing if you had similar ideas. Well...my observation is that you have pretty horrid ideas for punishment so there's no wonder here. (Islam doesn't believe in 'life imprisonment' or anything of the sort...if someone does a crime, he should be punished and then pardoned. E.g. a rapist stoned to death is pardoned and no one can mock or insult him.)
