Has anyone read the Shadows of the Apt series by Adrian Tchaikovsky? It's basically a world at war, with lots of action scenes in a Final Fantasy-like world. The reason I ask if anyone's read them is because of the length of the books! Many of them stretch over 600 pages (and some, 700-800...!) and are thus very long and slow to read. While Adrian varies the pace, it sometimes feels like a bit of a chore to finish. I'm halfway through Dragonfly Falling. (Book 2)
