I would argue that for works as widely known as, say, Hunger Games or Harry Potter, a claim of plagiarism for later works is problematic. Plagiarism implied that the creator of the later work is taking credit for the idea - however, for something so well known, I fail to see how many people could become confused. I should note that I come at things from the perspective of a long time admirer of folk music, where artists are *expected* to copy and (try to) improve. -Frank
