Donut carefully wheeled his way through the bushes, trying his best to stay clear of crunchy leaves. He got to the main window and peeked in. He just caught him leaving the room. He circled round to the front of the house and waited, crouching in the darkness watching the porch.

The man eventually came out and sat down with what looked like a hot cup of coffee. He opened a book and began to read. Donut pulled out one of his pistols and quietly attached a suppressor. He waited for a bit, allowing the man to enjoy the last cup of coffee he'd ever have.

Donut stood up and aimed the pistol with one arm extended. The man sensing his presence paused his reading.

"So they sent you after all?" Donut shrugged his shoulders,

"I took my time with this one." Donut smiled a bit from the darkness.

"Your mother wouldn't be pleased with what you've become."

"You don't talk about her or i'll make it long and painful, understood?" The man on the porch smiled at him even though he couldn't see his face, "People trusted you. They voted for you and then you throw them to the wolves?" Donut stepped out of the light revealing himself. The man laughed,

"Disguise as usual i see. You were a fine boy once upon-" a sleek silver bullet shattered the man's front teeth. He fell to the ground and sank into a pool of growing blood. He was still alive.

Donut walked up onto the porch and looked at the man pitifully before ending his misery with a bullet between the eyes, on the bridge of his nose. No one heard the shots and none saw Donut as he walked away into the night.

Requiem walked alongside his contact, embracing the cool air as he passed through it. He loved the outdoors, it was his second favourite thing in the whole world, besides killing of course.

"So it is agreed then" said the man who went by the name Tom "You will leave for Sendai in the morning, go to the Lucky Coin casino, there you will find Takuya Nakamura, a man who was supposed to do my organisation a favour. Instead he betrayed us and my boss is not pleased about it. Do this and then go to see our contact in Kyoto, she will give you your payment"

    "How much?" growled Requiem.

"I assure you, the money is sufficent enough to cover this minor detail"

    "How much?!" Requiem insisted.

"50,000 yen!" Tom said with a huff.

    "Shame" muttered Requiem.

    "What is?" asked Tom

"It's just that, I'll be busy tomorow morning"

"What do you mean?!" Tom said angrily.

"Well" Requiem said, with a grin. "I'll be attending your funeral."
With that he reached for his gun, pressed it against Toms abdomen, and pulled the trigger. Tom managed to let out a yelp, before collapsing to the floor.

"Hmm...uncivilised" murmered Requiem as he placed the pistol back in his inside pocket. He looked down at the body of the pathetic man.

"It's a shame that your friend Takuya contacted me first" he said. Laughing, he walked away.

The elevator stopped at the 13th floor and the doors opened as Knives stepped through. He was wearing what would have been a nice business suit that looked like it hadn't been washed in days. The black overcoat looked worn out and had several stains on it, probably from wine. His shoes were scratched up beyond polishing and his black tie wasn't tied around his neck the right way. His hair was messy again like he didn't give a s**t and he was wearing a pair of aviator glasses while still indoors and smoking a cigarette.

He had his hands in his pockets as he walked across the only hallway until he stopped in front of a room.

He didn't turn to it at first he just simply continued to stare forward. He then took a hand out of his right pocket and was holding a remote of some kind. He pressed a button and he heard a click from inside the room. He put the remote back in his pocket and pulled out his card to get in the room.

He opened the door and reached his hand around to open the barrel on the revolver that was attached and mounted just in front of the peephole of the door. Knives closed the door then and the barrel of the revolver. Before taking off his coat he took the remote again and pressed the same button and the revolver's hammer cocked back.

Knives walked over to the sofa and sat down and stretched. He took off his aviator glasses and opened the icechest the was sitting on the floor by his feet and took a corona. He was about to take a drink when a thump from under his feet made him spill a little. He looked down and looked at the hole that was in the wooden floorboard. He took the corona and started pouring it into the hole.

"Oh, so you're still alive", said Knives.

He finished pouring and pushed the sofa back towards the far wall behind him and took out a crowbar from underneath the cushions and went back to the floorboard with the hole in it. He pulled the floorboard out and the one next to it and pulled out a man who was bound and gaged with pillowsheets.

"Was it the corona or the noise?", Knives asked sarcastically.

The man grunted something that sounded like "f**k you" and so Knives kicked his left knee in.

"Well buddy, that's what you get when you decide to sneak in through the window to kill me. You probably don't know this but I'm a very busy man. Busy, busy, busy..."

Knives sat on the man's hip and brought his face to the man's face.

"And when I have to stop my work to catch two assholes trying to kill me....well, actually, I feel loved! Heh heh. But anywho you guys could have came to the front door and knocked politely".

Knives got up and started walking over to a door next to the sofa on the far wall.

"Let's see if your buddy is still alive, yeah?"

Knives opened the door and a body of another man fell down on the hard wood floor with a loud thump. The man was dressed in black like the man tied up and hand multiple knives impaled into his back and one in the back of the head.

"Oops, I forgot I killed him first!", Knives chuckled.

Knives pulled a ka bar knife out of the dead man and walked back over to the man tied up.

"You probably think I'm crazy huh?"

The tied up man gave out a muffled scream as Knives sat down on him again.

"Oh don't worry, I won't kill you. You still have your kidneys unlike your buddy over there. I couldn't do it before I left because, like I said, I'm a busy man. BUT I HAVE TIME NOW! Just waiting on a phone call so....why not, eh?"

The tied up man started to scream louder.

Silpheed grabbed his cellphone and dialed a number when Nigel wasn't looking. It rang and it rang.
"**ck anwer the phone," Silpheed said.
Silpheed was watching Nigel on the couch every few seconds. Silpheed tapped his feet on the ground.
"What are you doing?" Nigel asked.
    "Ordering some pizza," Silpheed said.
Silpheed made sure he was not to be seen in the kitchen.

The sound of Mozart played as Knives cellphone rang in his pocket.

"Ah, looks like you keep your kidneys pal", he said to the tied up man.

Knives looked at the phone to see that it was Silpheed and answered it.

"Hey kid! You actually called! I was gonna cry if you didn't! You alone?"

"I'm not exactly alone Nigel is watching the telly," Silpheed said with a sigh, "And I don't know how to get him out of here...can't be sneaky when he is around, but honestly I have been getting this feeling that Nigel wants to kill me."
    Silpheed sighed.
"Down to business? Do you have anything for me?" Silpheed paused, "And if you do I might have some candy for you."
The last sentence ringing with a very odd tone.

"Ah, that bastard still around? Pity you didn't poison him by now. He probably has good kidneys too".

The tied up man on the floor started to scream again and Knives kicked him.

"Anywho, remember that little job you had a while ago in Britain with that ambassador's son? Turns out the guys coke-dealing brothers found out and fled the country to the US thinking they'd be safe. I took out one of them but the other got away somewhere and sent a hit out for whoever returns the head of his brother's murderer. I've already had two guys find me so I'd watch your back kid".

    He cleared his throat.

"Wanna say hi to one of them?"

"I will not poison Nigel," Silpheed said sternly.
Silpheed smiled at the delicious meal he was sent.
"Sure I'll talk to him," Silpheed said, "I'll be careful see no one crosses me... or even for that fact of the matter Nigel without getting eating up."
    Silpheed smiled.
"Tell me when the man is on," Silpheed said.

    Knives smiled.

    "Just a sec", he said.

Knives held the phone away and yelled.

"HEY HONEY!!! HONEY!!? HEY BITCH!!! SOMEONE WANTS TO TALK TO YOU!!!"

He rattled the phone in his hands and sat on the tied up man again and spoke to him.

"Now you're gonna say hi do nothing else but talk to my pal on the phone, eh? That's if you wanna keep you're tongue...."

He ungaged the man and pressed the phone to his ear.

    "TALK!!", Knives yelled.

The man shivered and twitched before he actually spoke.

    "...he...he..hello?", he said.

"Hello there Mr. Sexy love," Silpheed said, "Is it all right to call you Sexy Love...who did you hire to kill me and my friend?"
Silpheed smiled as his accent changed from tired and bored to a sexual prowler. Silpheed knew the ways of seduction and the ways to get even the slightest information just by the tone of voice.
Silpheed thrums his hands on the phone peace. They liked that kind of stuff. Especially when they sound like sweet innocent girls. He made sure that he sounded like poison, but poison with elegance.

The tied up man, though he was frightened, spat into the phone.

"I ain't tellin' you nothin'! You and you're faggot friend are next! You hear me, you faggot!..You..ack!!"

The man's voice died as the blood rushed out of his throat and down his jaw. Knives let go of the ka bar blade and took the phone back to his ear.

"I apologize for my toy's choice of words. I don't suppose his mother taught him not to call people names. Anywho, not sure what happens now but a hit's out for one of us. Most likely me, I don't know. Probably from one of those organization places no one knows about."

Knives kicked over the tied up man's body and took another beer out of the icechest.

"I'll take care of it if you want. Just thought I'd let you know".

Silpheed smiled and then laughed a sweet little laugh.
"I want to make them pay," Silpheed said, "Keep one little rabbit for me, okay....I'm sure Nigel would like that anyway."
    Silpheed saw Nigel got up.
"Well I have to go," Silpheed said, "Nigel is getting up."
Silpheed hung up the phone and then felt something across his neck. A cold steel knife across his neck.
"Nigel what is this?" Silpheed asked.
"A knife and my job," Nigel said.
"So your the one they hired," Silpheed said.
"Yep," Nigel paused, "Its nothing personal...I need to live as well."
Nigel pressed harder on Silpheed's neck. Nigel kissed Silpheed on the lips.
"But I say we runaway together," Nigel said.
"Truth is you think I won't kill you," Silpheed said.
"Truth is I know you wouldn't kill me, but...."
"You would...sorry darling you should have killed me first,"
    Silpheed smiled at Nigel's shock.
"Truth is I just had you on a string," Silpheed paused, "And its nothing personal, but whatever relationship we had was pure job....now I need to talk to my agency and tell them happily you are dead....hey I need to live as well."
Silpheed smiled and called his agency.
    "Mission complete Nigel is dead,"

Knives smiled as Silpheed hung up the phone.

"Cute kid. Might make a man happy one day if he doesn't kill the guy first..."

Knives sat down on the sofa again and looked back over and the tied up man who's blood had now spread across the wooden floor, his face a look of shock just before his last breath. The face changed then and the dead man spoke.

"....the hell you lookin at, deadweight?", he said.

Knives raised an eyebrow and took a drink of his new beer.

"...Quiet, or I'll take your kidney".

Ash walks into the club, wearing a small, black top that only covered her chest, and went over one shoulder, a small black skirt and stilleto boots. She walks up to the bar and orders a vodka and cranberry juice mix. She looked around at all the different people in the club. She looks around the club at all the different people. The adult babies were pinned in the corner, there were couples were one was dressed as an authority figur, while the other one was dressed as a child, there were plenty of men who looked more like girls than the girls do. She did love a guy with eyeliner, fishnet and heels. However, the people that caught her attention the most are all the woman, wearing so little. She smiles to herself. She was home. A girl with a leash on called out to Ash. Ash looks over and says "Its Bambi right?" The woman giggles and says "No silly. Bambi is my sister. I'm Candi, remember?"

Ash grins and says "Ofcourse. What was I thinking?" She walks over and pulls the girl into a kiss, using the leash. She pulls the woman over to the bar. "Hey Al, I'll take the usual room. Oh, and when Edward gets here, go ahead and send him up." Al hands her a card key and nods. Ash looks over at Candi with a sadistic light in her eyes and says "Come, pet. Its time to have some fun."

"You have news for me?" the man said, removing his glasses.
Longshot nodded. "France, Germany, and two in the states."
    "Have we made contact yet?"
"No sir," Longshot replied. "Targets are being selected and contracts are being made as we speak."
The man nodded looking out the window. "I want them sent out ASAP."
    "Yes sir."

The map was pinned flat against the wall. Smaller pinpoints were stuck in it. Some blue, some red, some green. The green one's were of importance to Debbie Sam's employer.

"So France, Russia, Japan, and the U.S."
    "Yes sir," Debbie Sam replied.
    "Quite an ecletic grouping."
"They're top notch, sir," she replied. "You wouldn't believe how hard it was to keep track of them."
    "And the contracts?"
"They're being drawn up as we speak."
The man nodded and patted Debbie Sam on the shoulder. "Good work agent," he said. "I want the contracts out before we lose sight of these people."
    Debbie Sam nodded. "ASAP, sir."
The man smiled. "Valkyrie Aeronautics is going down."

Her chest heaved in and out as she sprinted down her forested path. She came to a sudden halt, and her body reacted by sending her in the opposite directions. She worked at it for a few minutes, until she was out of breath. Her breathing was quicker, and her heart hammered. There was nothing better then that feeling. Her hands went over her head as she came to a slow jog, heading towards her training grounds.

She stopped at a man made of hay, and patted him on the back. His paper face was ridden with large slit holes caused by her own knives. She stepped back a few hundred yards, and pulled the throwing knives. In quick intervals, the knives went flying. Two hit the groin, leaving the last at the neck. She ran forward, pulling them out and putting them back on her belt. She ran forward until she hit the 900-yard mark, where her gun stood. She bent low behind the pile of hay, and pressed the button at her side. Instantly cardboard men began to move about, many moving erotically. She loaded her gun, and in five quick shots she got them through the head, directly in the middle. She smiled, and rolled onto her side, enjoying the view of the German sky above her.

It was good to be home.

"We're sorry about the conveniences. You see the news blaring with terrorist blames. You shouldn't be hanging in a...let's say, efficient situation for people to catch you."

A voice came through the microphone.

"I'm loitering on the streets with orders to wait for a sign. Easy to arrest or what?"

Kefreon thought to himself and turned off the microphone. His eyes eyed the clock with disgust.

"I hate it when this happens."

Cobalt sat in a upscale bar near the north end of the city. It was just after the dinner rush and the place was quite filled. It made it easy to hide in plain sight. With his red button-down shirt, tie and slacks he looked just like everyone else in there. The kind of person you forgot about the moment you'd seen them. Even if anyone had seen the Ka-Bar knife on the inside of his pants, hooked to the belt, they wouldn't have even noticed him.

Sitting at the bar itself was a man with salt and pepper hair, cut short and neat. He sipped at a martini and watched the Football game on TV, not a care in the world. Why should he? He'd been treated nicely. Good retirement package from the Pentagon, nice bonus for keeping his mouth shut about things that had happened there. Hell, they even took care of all his medical bills after he'd been found down in the bowels of an underground bunker, shot several times in the chest. He didn't even have to answer any questions about who it was he associated with these days, and how back then it had left him bleeding in the dark, while a Covert-Ops Marine tried to get to him before he died.

A waitress came over to the booth Cobalt was seated at in the corner.
"Gethca somethng there?" She asked in a Georgian peach accent.
"How about just a Coke?" He replied, a genial smile on his face.
"Nothin' like a beer for ya tonight?"
Cobalt shook his head. "Sorry, no. I have to work in the evenings."
The waitress smiled, leaning against the table. "Whatdya do?"
"Oh, I'm a personal consultant." He said, shrugging.
    "That sounds..." The waitress paused.
"...boring. I know. It is, but it pays the bills."
The waitress laughed and walked off to go process his order. Cobalt smiled as she went. Just another boring business man with a boring job.

At the bar, the man had pulled out his cell phone and was looking at the display. This was what Cobalt had been waiting for. He quickly took a Pocket PC from inside his own trousers and fired it up, looking quickly for something on it. Finding it, he stuffed the PDA back where he'd gotten it from, satisfied. The availability of certain tools, as well as the rape of personal privacy by the Internet these days made it easy to get information from or about anybody these days.

His drink arrived, and Cobalt sipped at it, biding his time. The man at the bar wasn't going anywhere, but Cobalt could wait all night if he had to. Eventually, he got up to leave with the Packers losing by seven points in the fourth quarter.

Cobalt waited patiently for the man to leave. He'd have no trouble catching up to him. Using his Pocket PC, he sent a message to the man, disguising it's sender as someone else on his contact list.

    Jeff,

We need to talk immediately. I think something may have gone wrong out there. He may be watching I'm afraid. Meet me at the corner of Falcon nd Cardinal, near the park.

    -Rain King

The message sent and on it's way to the man, Cobalt got up, grabbed his trench coat off the seat beside him, threw a ten-spot on the table and left. He had some driving to do.

    ******

By the time he reached the park, it was drawing dark. Jeff Bramer fidgeted uneasily looking around. It had been too long since he'd had to talk to this person, and he was too old for this kind of sneaking around. Retirement was supposed to be a relaxful time in ones life, right?

He backed up to an ally, trying not to draw attention to himself. The park still had plenty of people for him to blend in with, unlike the suspicious appearance of a man trying to sneak into an ally at night, but he'd never been a soldier. He was a scientist for pete's sake!

He stepped back further, concealing himself in the shadows.

"Hey buddy, watch out behind you." A voice said. Bramer turned to apologize but never got the chance. Something hard sung at him and knocked him in the face, dazing him. He couldn't even recover before a strong hand gripped his my the face, pushing him back further into the alleyway, and against a wall.

"Remember me?" Cobalt asked, his hand pushing into Bramers face so hard that the frightened man could hardly nod.

"Good. Now, I'm going to let you go, and when I do if you make the slightest sound or try to run, I'll cut your throat. You know I can do that, right?"

The man nodded again, sweating and eyes wide. Slowly, Cobalt loosened his grasp. Bramer looked around for a second, trying to find a route of escape, but noticed the knife in Cobalt's other hand.

"I'll call the cops!" Bramer cried, reching for his cell phone like it was a gun.
Faster then he could react, Cobalt pinned Bramers hand up over his head and drove the Ka-Bar through his palm. Bramer tried to scream but his mouth was stuffed with the arm of Cobalt's jacket.

"Shut up!" He commanded. "What are you going to tell them? That the boogeyman beat you up? You KNOW they won't find me unless I want them too. Now I want you to give a message to your buddy for me. You know who i mean too."

With the knife still impaling Bramers hand, Cobalt reached in his pocket and took out a piece of paper with some writing on it, holding it up before Bramer.

"I can't tell him that. Please, I can't do that!" Bramer pled. Cobalt's only reponse was to give the knife blade a slight twist, causing his captive to blubber in pain.

"You'll do it." Cobalt said, and with a blessed act of mercy untacked Bramer from the wall, leaving him in a curled, sobbing ball on the ground. He turned the corner, vanishing into the shadows of the day like; gone, like he'd never been there.

"You'll do it." He said again from nowhere in particular, as the roar of a 757 drowned out the both of them.

A clown carrying ballons walks through the airport and stops before Kefreon. The assassin waves him off, but the clown insists that he takes a black balloon. The young man does and see's text scrolled across it:

Kefreon studies the balloon intently for a few moments before the clown pops it. He immediately seizes him, "Who sent you?"
The clown spoke in broken English. "I just messenger," he said frightened. "No harm, no harm."

Kefreon releases the clown, who quickly hurries away.

As Requiem relaxed on the park bench, a Japanese vendor approached him with a cart of fireworks. He showed the man a multitude of them and insisted on one in particular. Requiem finally caved in and bought the medium-sized firecracker.

"Pull out to use," the kindly vendor said, smiling.
Requiem eyed him and did so. He pulled out a thin piece of paper. On it, in Japanese, was written:

    GREETINGS:

Requiem looked at the information give to him for a few moments, then the vendor snatched the firecracked, with the note still attached, and lit it. He then threw it a few feet away. It exploded, burning the note with it. The vendor went to walk away before Requiem grabbed his arm forcefully.

    "Who sent you?"
"I do not know," the man replied. Requiem squeezed harder, the man grimaced in pain. "A man gave me 600,000 yen to deliver the firecracker to you and then destroy it, I swear!"

Requiem let the man go, who quickly continued his route.

As Silpheed leisured about his room he noticed a note had been slipped under his door. He had no idea how long it had been there, having been preoccupied with other matters. He got up from the bed, grabbed the note, and read it to himself:

    Sir:

The party throwers are in need of someone who can mixed a mean drink. You can find the party at Bondi's Iceberg Club. Silpheed opened up the door and checked the hallway. After noticing nothing, he shut the door and began making preparations.

Ash was awoken by a pounding at her door. When she opened it, there was no one there. Just a box with a lever and a note that said "turn me." She looked around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Going inside, she handed the box to one of his guests and told them to turn it. Safer to let someone else take the risk. All that popped out was clown, it was a Jack-In-The-Box. The clown held a note that Ash took a read.

    Ma'am:

Thank you again for applying to Big Birthday Surplus and welcome aboard!

Ash placed the note on the counter and began to pack her things.

Kefreon studied the incident he had been encountered for a few minutes before thinking over it. He wasn't much for funny notes, but the idea of big bucks had him drooling. He knew telling the DNOD wasn't a fancy idea, but he also knew that it didn't matter much.

"What? You want to go to London?"

The man on the other end squeaked, and Kefreon pulled his own collar as though strangling himself.

"Yeah, I deserve a little of that, eh?"

"We're not a sensational vacation service."

"Neither am I a tea boy roaming countries."

Kefreon snapped back. He knew Jeremy wouldn't mind; they had a long history.

"Fine. You get to Gate number...fifteen. By then your boarding pass would be there."

Kefreon smirked and walked to the prescribed gate, taking about seven minutes. No doubt, a man ran into him and dropped a boarding pass into his breast pocket. Cool as ever, he boarded the plane and waited for his 'birthday' adventure.

    "This ought to be surprising."

It was. As soon as he got off the airplane, he was literally pushed to the arrival lounge. From there, he was soon searching for a taxi and making his way to Regent Park. Even though tired, he didn't like to put off tasks and the day was slowly dwindling.

Even though it was cloudy, Kefreon easily climbed a tree with his trusty needle which pricked the bark of the tree and swung him to the head. He ran his sight over the park like an overgrown chimpanzee and then somersaulted to the nearby canopy of the tree. His grip almost lost itself but he managed to claw a branch of the tree to his use. He hand his hand at his rifle, the leather encasing it as though a dragon's scale. He breathed heavily as he jumped to another canopy, his eyes darting towards the center of the park, several meters from the nearest tree.

    "No wonder."

He already felt revealed by the somewhat thing canopy, and slowly slid to a lower branch like a snake slipping down. His rifle poked in between the mesh of branches, and his eyes became one with the rifle's. Peering through the network of trees, he eventually brought his rifle to the position from where he could see the lady by the relatively small fountain, perhaps. He closed his eyes tightly and then struck them open, giving two shots in the head of the lady, who dropped down dead. No one seemed to be there at this time, and believing this to be an advantage he rolled out of the trees like a squirrel.
