The problem is the address you posted is a website, not an image. http://www.afuegolento.com/noticias/cocina/opinion/9844/museo/chocolate/barcelona/
Right click an image then click on "image URL." Then click the insert image icon on the toolbar here. Then in the box right click and hit paste. Doing that should insert the image into your text box.
It was an image when I looked at it I think my brain had already closed down for the night but my fingers were still typing. Thanks GC Thanks, Lewdog.
Was it possible you had the other address on your clipboard? I've done that many times, thinking I copied something to paste only to have the previous thing I copied to paste still on the clipboard. Had you copied that url from the Spanish chocolate page before copying the image jpg? How did that web link end up in your post? I couldn't get any of the images on that page to open. Another thing that sometimes happens is the image opens as a window so when you copy the url, you get the url from the web page, not the image. Was the image on that web page?
Hi Ginger, I was particularly tired so anything was possible I'm usually quite adept at finding my way round websites but for some reason I had a complete mental block. I couldn't even figure out how to add photos to my gallery on WF. I'd planned to upload the photo there then use that url to share the photo. Let's just say I was having a 'dumb' moment. As for posting the wrong link or text into a thread I already wear that t~shirt
Completed the first draft of my first short story in months. It's very rough, but it's something to work with and it feels pretty damn good to be writing fiction again after months of essays, articles and reports.
Found some friends I actually respect, completed the last two really hard projects of the year, and finally, after months and months of trying to stay afloat, managed to get myself in for an ADHD* evaluation last Monday. My psychiatrist says a very large percentage of people with autism have it as well. *Which is overdiagnosed, but that doesn't mean nobody actually has it. And the autistic side of me was clear from a very young age.
I don't know how 'happy' this makes me ...we should have an 'interesting tidbit' thread as well ...but I just received my first of the new 'plastic' £5 notes. It's quite a production, with a wee clear cutout picture, all sorts of bells and whistles. Will be extremely hard to counterfeit, and apparently it's 'washable' so if you mistakenly leave it in your jeans pocket and it goes through the wash, no harm done. In fact, it'll just be 'laundered.' Kinda cool.
I'm happy to have stumbled across this thread. I'm happy to have found a forum where I can read answers to questions I have - often without having to ask them.
My team won a cup final on Saturday, and I've made decent progress on my latest project. Things are also working for me on guitar. I'm in a good mood.
Beware of putting stress on small tears as they rip quite easily, and also pulling them out of a pants pocket since they are slippery and lost easily.
Apologies, tmi, but victory over the tonsil stone! Woohoo! Now I can swallow without wanting to hang myself
I'm happy that there was sufficient sunshine to entice me out on a walk this afternoon. I'm excessively happy that the weekend weather is looking good enough to plan a photography shoot... tomorrow!!
Just finished my third draft of a blog post, and the only one that actually worked well enough for me to finish it. Gonna make a few edits and put it up sometime in the next few days. Also, it's summer now. Yay.
I got my computer back, completely rebuilt and everything reloaded. I am seriously, almost stupidly, happy about this...
Went for a ride this morning and found a whole chunk of fitness. Boo yah. Found a few phrases and analogies that fit what I am looking to write about in my novels recently that tickle me pink.
