    The "Someone Else's Words" Game!

Discussion in 'Writing Prompts' started by Mercurial, Apr 22, 2009.

Assignment:Tell us a story. A fictional story, a true story, a secret you've been hiding. Happy, sad, funny, whatever. But you must use someone else's words. Take lyrics from as many songs as needed, but all must be taken from the same recording artist. Mix and mash, rearrage and twist them into something of your own. It's pretty amazing how these things turn out.

I'll go first. :) Please pardon the depressing theme... The majority of my song collection consists of angry, depressive lyrics.

    Artist: The Birthday Massacre
Subject: The during's and after's of an abusive relationship.

Sorry, but lyrics-based games cannot be permitted. Pastexperience shows that the attributions of the source are never adequately maintained. This includes your initial offering, which indicates the arist, but not the specific borrowed passages or what song each us from.
