I personally find anime: a) dreadfully cliche b) boring c) annoying but thats just me. i dont hate on anyone who does like anime, but i dont think much of it myself.
Fullmetal Alchemy, Hals Moving Castle (i am aware this is not a series), Wolfs Rain and Champloo. I gave up after not liking any of them.
I'm not sure what genres you're into, but try Neon Genesis Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop before you give up hope completely. There are a lot of things I don't like as well, but isn't everything like that? Also, for a manga/comic, read Blade of the Immortal if you get the chance.
Yeah, Ill try em out next time Im at home. Ive got exams coming up, so come November 1 im going to be doing lots of study. I find it somewhat amusing Im only giving myself a month to study for exams... ah well.
Evengalion was too confusing for me! And yeah, I said something just to stop something happening. That was all, I've done that a few times meself! But yeah, Evengalion was too confusing. I liked howls moving castle. There are also some wierd ones! Sailer moon, I think is an anime but Anime has a large scale...... and different types.... I think. From kiddi shows like Sailer moon and dragon ball z (okay, aybe not major kiddies...) to cowboy Bebop, evengalion, Ghost in the shell and the SAC series and there are a few others. There was an Anime show on SBS over here a couple of years ago and I think it was samurai x but I'm sure I'm wrong so I'm going to go and look that up.
It's all right wordwizard. I feel kind of bad for seeming so harsh. Everything's all right. And I would agree with dropbear Oz, Sailor Moon is for the kiddies but it is anime. Kids shows can be anime as well. Just depends on the demographic, much like american cartoons.
Exactly. I mean, there are some pretty graphic anime out there. So it's not just for kids even though there are kid shows out there.
Frost if you haven't already watch 'Spirted Away'. Personally, it is one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen.
The Cyber City's were early 90s but the artwork for Manga was brilliant and so far I've not seen a Manga Cyber Punk to equal Cyber City
DOZ you made me cry by mentioning Sailor Moon! I dispise that stupid kids show. Curse them for ever creating it. That was THE WORST THING THEY EVER CREATED!
the only anime that i have seen is Sailor Moon and Shin Chan, but i aint even sure if it is anime or not. was good though
The only real anime I've seen is Spirited Away, which I watched for a class about a year ago and loved. Other than that, I don't watch it much, mostly because I don't really watch television... That said, I love anime art, and wish I could do it. I've tried a few times and I'm not bad, but I've never been able to capture the grace of it... If there are any other good films out there I'd be open to them...I'm just not a series person...
