I have three: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part: 2, score by Alexandre Desplat Imaginaerum Special Edition, this includes the instumental versions, by Nightwish Lady in the Water, score by James Newton Howard The aforementioned are my go tos for reading or writing. For active stuff like walking, cleaning, or driving...Well, whole different kettle of fish.
No colors anymore, he wants them to turn black. Yeah, it does take me quite a bit of stamina to get through some of his albums. Especially Born to Run. I have a playlist with some rarities and B-sides. My favorite two songs on that playlist are Born in the U.S.A. (acoustic demo version) and This Hard Land. That version of Born in the U.S.A. is perfect for the album Nebraska -- it even would have been the best song on that album. I mean, just listen to his vocals at 2:44! I like it much better than the version that made it onto the album Born in the U.S.A. (though that version is excellent, too).
That's funny you say that. I've heard some people say the same thing about his concerts. Totally disagree.
Wintersun's self titled album, and their second album "Time 1". It's the only band whose every song I like.
Tool is one of those bands that just seem to vast to be just a band. I can't count how many times I've listened to 10,000 days from beginning to end. Still waiting for that new album!
Mastodon's crack the Skye is a masterpiece. It's their highlight album. I listen to that while I write, I feel as if I'm an adventurer that is astral traveling to save my soul from the shaman of the dark seas lol.
