  1. Azmacna, strolling through your eyes

So... erm... i've never done one of these 'ere bloggy thingies!

DAMN GLOBAL WARMING! it's really messing with my hair!
  2. First blog post

Err right, hey everyone. My names David and I'm from Manchester, UK. I'm 21 and a bit boring I guess! ;)

Anyways. Just testing the blog features as I've just found out about it. First blog for me as well. :)

I'm currently writing a fantasy book and it's looking like I'll progress with it. I have a tonne of stuff I've stopped working on since starting writing seriously several months ago, normally before the first chapter or two is complete. My record is 6000 and odd words for 2...
  3. Rybok: Xiberia

I have written the prologue section of the story. Though My wife Elizabeth has helped me with the discription. Since this is a story on one of our RPGs And I'm using some of your characters, I want to get it as near as perfect as I can.

I'm going to keep the story and plot hush hush to help give you all a surprise with the story and the outcome.

What I will say is the action sequences are very action packed and the Prologue seems to go well.

Now the next section for me to write is...
  4. Numero Uno.

    Number One.

Hmm, what to say, what to say.

I make myself too busy, Balance and sci fi original work, fanfiction and the games I am developing, I guess I have no life when I add in work.

Ah, well, any of you guys and gals interested in tabletop war games at all?
  5. Tips for writers from a Wanna be author. :p

Okay, a simple tip that i can give anyone that wants to write: READ. Read different books or books that are in the same or similar genre to what you write. I'm not saying go out and copy things, but learn from Authors.

I learned how to word things and how to write from reading so much. It's something that I recommend and it helps if you enjoy reading.

And even if you write little snippets of conversation that your characters are having or senario that enteres your head, write it down!...
  6. TEN things which make Pakistan the best country to live in!

Seriously, the title says it all. You guys may think it's a hellhole, but no, it's really a nifty place :) at least in some ways which are addressed below. Feel free to feel envious - it's natural.

    1) I think this counts alot - no need to do chores! In a normal middle class home, you can have a sweeper and gatekeeper and a cook very nominally! For the upper middle class, a driver or two is no big either. You'll get plenty practice of shouting and learn an entirely new language - of bad...
  7. Tennessee

I can't tell you if I spelled that right, but that's a moot point.

I just got back from a boating trip in Dale Hollow, located on the borders of both Kentucky and Tennessee. You see, my family is a boating family. We go boating for fun, instead of bowling or movies or whatever else families are supposed to do.

Usually we just go to neighboring lakes, but once or twice a year, we take that trek down to Tennessee.

    And, yeah. It was F-U-N!...
  8. China Needs Strip Clubs (talks about sex)

If you stay in China for any length of time, and wander around a bit, you will notice something. There are a hell of a lot of massage parlours, and barbershops that are really massage parlours.
    Its kind of nuts.
I'm used to seeing brothels in cities. But in China, its' almost impossible to miss them if you veer slightly out of the tourist areas.
Even in Beijing where they have really cracked down on prostitution, you see a lot of it. I've walked past perfectly legit barbershops and...
  9. Rant

    Comic updated! Have a look!

Definitely one of my new favorite books is Rant by Chuck Palahniuk. (You can see my review of it in the Book Reviews section.)

I thought it was interesting that, in the story, the government had divided citizens up into night time and day time. As in, half of the people were allowed to be out and about only in the day, and the other half were only allowed to be in the city at night. It was implemented...
  10. Blue

Brakes screamed, and the world spun. Metal slammed and roared, and glass exploded. Moira’s shattered and bloodied face expanded before Kyle’s eyes as it flew toward him accusingly. He woke quaking, his heart pounding, and his bed sheets soaked with sour sweat.

Kyle climbed out of bed and stumbled to the bathroom. He splashed cold water on his face and tried to slow his breathing. In his recurring nightmare, he was the drunk driver who had split Moira’s car in half and stolen her life....

  11. Forever in a Heartbeat

Todd Rizzo could not keep his eyes off the gun. Once again he lifted it from the coffee table to feel its cold weight in his hand. The Smith and Wesson .22 caliber pistol weighed 33 ounces, a little over two pounds. He was surprised how easy it had been to buy it through his friend Barry. The faint smell of steel and gun oil made him feel both nervous and somewhat excited. What the hell am I doing he thought for a moment. Annoyed at his weakness, he firmly set the gun back down...

  12. Morning on the Lake

    A thousand ghostly serpents stretch
    pale heads above the lake,
    warning the rising white wavering
    Sun.

Fearless a grey shell among them slips.
    Shadowed pilot lets oars drift
    launches a silent line;
a soft plop; the figure waits
    in vain.

A starling squawks, the only sound
    to pierce the peaceful air.
The figure lifts his arm once more
    another plop, and rippling rings
    expand.

Then a splash, the rod bends down
    the snake heads veer away
as water churns and figure turns
    a...

  13. Ryboks RatPack (Story) To Go Ahead.

After been given kind permission to use the characters featured in the rpg games of Ryboks RatPack. I have decided to do a short story based on Rybok and his RatPack.

The story will be considerably darker than the games have been upto date.

I will begin writing this sometime this week or around the weekend.

  15. Diet??? >< How about walkies for now?!

Hey, just went for a walk, only a quick one though. I was getting a little breathless and my heart was beating pretty fast and bad, didn't want to stop but I thought it was best to turn around and go back home. I was out for roughly fifteen to twenty minutes! And I actually jogged, which is why my heart went kaboom! (not litterly!)

Anyways, I'm cutting down on stuff, my junkfood intake has gone down and I'm trying hard not to eat chocolate.

The only problem now is that I'm now hooked...
