  1. Damn Roommate...

How to piss someone off because they pissed you off... depends on how close to them you are. If your source of irritation is your roommate or someone who happens to share the same household as you, allow yourself a moment to giggle as you think of them freaking out from something you did. Or better yet, why imagine... Simply wait till they are the shower, sneak in the bathroom, and rub a fresh onion on his towel. They can shower five times after that, but it's kinda like blood alcohol...
  2. if i had a power

if i had a power, what would it be... infinite perception the ability to see all things. to see truth and deception. to see emotion. to be able to understand and breakdown the true nature of any object or energy. To see energy flow between one state and the next, moving through and around matter in tandem. i wish to see the cosmic and the atomic. The great and the small, in all places, at all times...all things, everywhere.

  4. rotting timbers, falling tiles

after some time it occurs to me that things are not all that they seem that the things we see now are the lapses of cover in a blanket of woven dreams that the truth of our presence, of civilization, could bring one to frightened shivers that we are all kept, deceiving ourselves, in a house of rotting timbers
  5. the worst decision ever...

So one day a boy is sitting down in an office in the business firm of one B. L. Moneymaker. He is excited and very hopeful. Thoroughly impressed by the men and women walking about in smart suits, talking, busy-looking...he couldn't wait to begin to work. Before him sat Mr. Donaldson, a thick, sturdy looking man with hair only at the sides of his head. He was in charge of, among other things, new hires. So the boy watches as the man looks at his degree and thumbs down his resume of...
  6. writing...

the beginning of writing sci-fi makes you a theorist because you start by asking yourself a lot of questions mostly centering around "is this plausible or just ridiculous"? i begin by asking, what does a human need to survive? food, air, and oxygen. how does he get that in space? then i go into how do they get into space? how do they get further into space? what is it like? what are the dangers? the world and the technicalities are built before the story such that i have a great stage...
  7. flash fic's

just writing what popped into my head... I am light, and before me Hitan, the God of Trials, opens the way into life... I descend, and beside me, to either side, are Wisdom and Desire. They are my closest friends and my greatest nemesis', for one is not fond of the other. Indeed each try to overcome the other, and I have no peace as I am always in between. Ahead, beyond sight, lies Selene, the Goddess of Fulfillment. For me she has lain cool blankets and clear water. But she will not...
  8. moneyless...

Quick question What would the world look like without money? And by money, I mean anything of value exchanged for a good or service. if money did not exist, what would the world look like? Would there still be jobs? Would we have these sprawling civilizations and nations? Would we be motivated to do the things we do now...if we weren't paid for it? I call money the great excuse for civilization, because without money, this great civilization would have never existed. we are barely...
  9. animals

Men pretend to be men. Men pretend to be good. But we have laws for a reason, and cops have guns for a reason. Because in the absence of law and the threat of consequence, when a man is removed from penalties and the moral condemnation of witnesses, the savage that has lain within is allowed to rise again. He will do as he pleases- his reason only serving to fulfill his instincts. Because in the end, if we are not forced to civility, we become animals instead- cannibals if needed; the very...

  11. cutting the yellow tape

Hmmm...I guess it's not all that important of a thing to write, but today I officially broke ground and wrote the first paragraph of my story... and I found myself wondering, will I really sit down and invest the time it takes to write and plan and edit and make this idea in my head a tangible reality? And if I do, will it possibly compare to other great books like Isaac Asimov's "Foundation" or the current "Game of Thrones" craze? I always get that writer's high where at any moment I'm just...

  13. zombies :)

zombies :) in a world where killing people- good or bad- sparks a butt-load of moral ambiguity zombies provide the means to satisfy that intrinsic desire for carnage with zero guilt. they're the target practice of horror, and it's a rocket ride testing the limits of extreme violence against these individuals. Dawn of the Dead even took the leap of killing a newborn zombies  and like everything else, it progresses with our culture- scientifically and...everything else. first there...
