  1. March assessments...hush

I just got done with my Marchies. Oh,that's not a word, I know. But it's a word now. This year's theme - innovation, rehabilitation and optimism. And definitely opting to somehow, get my parents to let me study abroad. Which reminds me - any American folk kind enough to tell me what would they do if a girl dressed in a black hijab comes by, in University? I want to take precautions. As far as my assessments are concerned, they went really nice. First was Islamic studies and English,...

  2. New to Deviant

Nah, not me. It'll be a while before that. But my sister actually got a number of art stuff posted over there. She's too shy to confess and too sensitive to believe that her 3 pictures (of the many she made) have been given no comments. She needs encouragement. Yeah she does. Here's the link: sweetestwishes.deviantart.com She's not much of an English girl, so ignore that part.

  3. I've flunked my exams

Not technically, but for me, these marks are for those who flunk. I got my result for mid-terms.I won't be too hard on myself, and I'll say that I did pretty better in some subjects. But in some subjects, I'm just horrified. And perhaps depressed. Urdu - 81/100 (Not bad at all. I love it, my Urdu isn't very good and the highest is 85.) Biology - 85/100 (Last time, I got 78. And the main reason I didn't get better marks is because the teacher doesn't know what 'gush', and many other...

  4. -To the eventful 2008-

Looks like 2008 is full of surprises for me. I think, for that matter. Three of my cousins are getting married - I have a gut feeling that my sisters will also get involved in a relationship and it also marks the year of Olympics (and many other stuff). Here's a calender of what's hoped for in this year. January - My (to be married) cousin Wajiha's birthday February - Farewell to the outgoing batch of 11s, we're in 10 so we'll be busy giving them a lovely farewell. Also, my sister's...

  5. Report Card

Just wasting more time. I like to do it I guess. - Biology - 36.5/50 (forgot to attempt a 6-mark question) - Chemistry - 40/50 - Physics - 35.5/50 (terrible headache, fell ill that day) - Islamic studies - 43/50 (I don't know, teacher says great marks I say I want more :p) - Geography - 21.5/25 (I skipped a diagram and a list of locations, thinking it won't come. You can very well imagine what happened next) - History - 19/25 (Our teacher never really taught us anything, we're under...

  6. Baaaaaaaaaccccccccckkkkkk kkkk!!!

Yes, I'm back. Back, back, back. With a long weekend. Yay. I didn't review my date sheet, and when I did I realized my exams are finishing pretty early. Bleh. I can't wait for Eid (Arabic for festival), it's coming on Saturday or Sunday, depending on the moon sightings (Muslims go by the lunar calender). Just for anyone to know, it's called Eid-ul-Fitr, understood as the day of giving and rejoicing. We fast for almost a month and then celebrate today as a thanksgiving to God's blessings....

  7. Dreams are a sin

Lost and Forgotten Are those eyes full of pain Blood streaming down The face of disdain Piercing me finally I've realized my destiny With no hope to wish for My soul has been killed in a scene of gore The quoted part is from a I poem I wrote. When writing it, I was in the same feeling as I am in right now. I just wonder why I'm even writing this blog. I should be studying. It's the purpose of my life, right? I don't know if this is the same rant every other teenager sings when...
  8. FINALLY...I posted here!

Oh my, since school has started I've been praying to God that give me time to post something of weight over here. Escpecially on HERE! I mean, after requesting for a blog with such enthusiasm and not posting on it is just plain mean. :p Anyways, now that I've got a chance, I won't waste it. I'm back on my seat, and this weekend, I'm hoping to end my novel and then start nitpicking grammatical errors in it. Ack, I hate doing that. But it must be done! My coming agenda would be writing...
