Uninspired in the UK

Happens to me a lot. For me, it's because I don't want to sit down and commit to the effort part of creation. Definitely noticed overtime that it's one thing to want to write a story and another thing to write it. One day, probably, you'll have that moment where you really begin writing and you don't stop.

But no rush. Have fun.

Don't wait for inspiration to come to you, you have to find the motivation to write yourself. Trust me, once you get into the rhythm of writing, inspiration will follow.

I've been there before. And like any other writer, it's an unfair situation in writing. You know what your body and brain needs, more than anyone else. So if you need to get some fresh air and cool off, do it. If you feel you need to read something else, or engage in some other form of relaxation, I encourage you to do the same. Bottomline: writing is no punishment. Don't make it look like one. You are at your best when it flows like a steady stream.

Sounds like you're trying to force it a little, which is never a good thing. Relax yourself, let your mind wander. Write down what comes. If it's shite, don't delete it. Go back and edit it later. It's only for your eyes to see anyway. Having something written down is better than nothing
