It is important to start researching beyond my available books as to the situation in which my characters fit, and I will achieve this by doing research into the following events:

• Battle of Kovel
• The Brusilov offensive (general topic)
• The state of Russian peasants at the time (general topic)
• The Petrograd garrison
• Cossacks lifestyle and traditions (general topic)

Moreover, it is time to set up a graph by which to judge and describe in detail each of my characters, including:
