Born in Newport R.I., moved to Chicago and was raised in the inner city on the Southside until ten years old. Then moved to rural Crown Point, Indiana where I learned to love nature, free to roam in fields of swaying grass and deep wooded copses rich with ponds and swamps.
At fifteen I moved to suburban Munster, Indiana until I went off to college at Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana. First published in 1980 in the Purdue Exponent, ever since, many of my poems, articles and essays have been published in magazines, literary journals and anthologies worldwide.
I have been called, more than a few times, "a word-master who writes with an intelligent poetic flair that demonstrates a symbiotic relationship with the English language and an extraordinary ability to deliver powerful themes through words and imagery."
