    If I could choose how to spend the rest of my life, it would be at a table behind stacks of books and journals with animals curled up around me and doing research. Hopefully I'm on my way to getting there, not just accruing more student debt. I love history, moderately more than I love reading, and it very definitely sneaks into my creative writing so I can't really compare it to that. I'm a recent returnee from Japan (to the US) and I'm currently working on getting into a graduate program that will let me focus on Japanese history, though they are few and far between.
