Tom Stoppard once said, “We cross our bridges when we come to them, and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke and a presumption that once, our eyes watered.” (1937)

This quote has always been true for me- call it my creed if you will. I've moved around the country, starting my fires and burning my memories with them.

I've been starting relationships, friendships and hateful abhors, and yet, I have never maintained a single one of those relationships to this day. That is why I am telling you this, my reader, because a pledged memory arsonist cannot survive without that little spark of ignition.
