If you wish to buy scalpel blades (5-100 pack) they will throw in a handle #3 or #4 along with it in most cases. Seems they feel you need to be able to actually use the blades, or start a handle collection. (Also people will use scalpels for craft work). Twofer.
All of the scalpels I've used came handle and all in a surgically sterile single use prepack. I know they're cheaper to buy separate, but I don't have an autoclave.
