for Indigenous writers and Entertainment writers

  1. J.T. Woody
Harper Collins and (Penguin)Random House made headlines in my circle this month by introducing 2 new imprints which are currently looking for clients!

Harper Collins worked with Jay Z's Roc Nation to launch Roc Lit 101, an imprint dedicated to publishing books that focus on entertainment (music, sports, pop culture, activism, etc.).

Last year (2019), Cynthia Leitich Smith (Muscogee Creek) partnered with HarperCollins to create Heartdrum, an imprint dedicated to publishing children's and YA books written by indigenous writers of North America.
Heartdrum is looking for submissions and will officially launch in Winter 2021.
