Kim Yo-jong (Kim Jong-un's sister), Mike Pence, and Shinzō Abe are all in South Korea now. They'll attend the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics today. Ivanka Trump will attend the closing ceremony. This will be interesting.
Spooky spooky ... I wish I was 8 years old again for the Olympics. I just...I mean...the UK coverage of the Summer games - was pretty North Korean. I think if I recall we're now the 'greatest nation in recorded history' in our sports and in our achievements. An evident success that applied to industrial strategy shall reap tangible results for the GB plc going ffwd.
I don't care much about the Olympic games because I'm not big into sports to begin with, plus there's the whole thing that the Olympics are highly unethical and poorly regulated and harm most of the countries they're held in etc etc. This one has been more interesting to follow because of all the juicy tidbits of North Korea. There's also the Nat Geo documentary series following North Korea and how they're handling being at the Olympics, which has been somewhat interesting to watch (doesn't say much of anything we didn't already know and the documentary is so far contained just to the city of Pyongyang, but it's interesting none the less).
