Shall it boil over? I was ready for the heat Though the hob was off I nearly ended it with ‘But the hob was off’ but thankfully I noticed how clunky that would be as a start. That’s the sort of haiku challenge that you give to an enemy, or in competitive street haiku.
Though the hob was off, The haiku thread simmered well Now it is well done! Hopefully my ending isn't clunky as a start.
