"It's okay," she told him. "Lex may be nuts, but you're not going to die. I know it's weird, but that's the first step. Besides," she added, grinning brightly at him, "You love aliens--think of it as a learning experience."

"Yeah, man. You might git some supapowers," Vic said. "Be like Spidaman, climbin' on walls an' shootin' webs out yo' a** an' s*** like that. That's was up, lil' homie."

Stewart's face turned red when the Spiderman's reference come up.
"I'm not going to turn out like that," he snapped, "It's clear your to stone to make an actual judgment....and I do love aliens, though it's weird to actually become one."
    Stewart thought for a moment.
"Or at least half of one,"

"This ain't Earth, man," Vic said. "WE'RE the aliens. Woah... that's some trippy s***." He thought about that for a moment, then decided it was better not to think about it. "We all up in they hood, disrespectin' they space an' s***, man. No wonder dem aliens is all pissed off an' s***. And y'all been stickin' needles up they ass and runnin' tests and s***. Man, I'd be pissed off too."

"Hey, Vic, did you blow your whole stash of whatever it is you've been smoking?" Anna asked.

"Nah. I'm always fully stocked. You know how I roll. But I ain't even high right now, man," Vic said. "I had to toss my blunt to light up that f***** plant monster. You see the kind of sacrifices I make for y'all? I outta get, like, a Purple Heart or some s***. My joint died that we may live," he said, saluting an invisible flag.

"Yeah...sure" Jena siad, with the ghost of a smirk on her lips, "you have an endless supply of that crap anyways so it's not like it's a big loss, infact I'm not sure if I've ever seen you completely clean."

Vic was getting on Stewart's nerves. And it was a funny reaction to him because he enjoyed every annoying bit of life. But not Vic, for some reasons Stewart could never ever seem to like Vic.
"Maybe Vic sh!ts a supply for himself everyday, he is a cannabis drug factory after all," Stewart said.
He couldn't believe a word like that came out of his mouth. He was almost surprised by the cruelty he showed.
    "I'm sorry," Stewart said quickly.

Anna laughed at what Stewart had said, then turned to Vic, "Can I borrow some of it?"

Jena let out a short peal of laughter. That little speech was so unlike Stewart, it was hysterical.
"Stewart, he's fine, it takes way more than that to phase Vic."

Vic laughed. "Cannibis? Nah, man. I smoke that space weed," he said, "courtesy of yo' people. I'm cool with some peeps in the plant department. They keep the herbs comin'. Plenty to go around. That Earth s*** ain't got nothin' on this. It's a whole different thang up here."

    "I'm sorry," Stewart said quickly.

"It's cool, man. What you apologizin' fo'? I'm glad to see you loosenin' up, lil' homie. You finally s*** out that stick up yo' ass."

"Can I borrow some of it?" Anna asked.

"D***... I ain't know you was down with that s***. I'll be sure to let you in next time I light up. But don't be trippin'. I don't like it when folks be gettin' all, you know, weird an' s***," he said. "See, look at me, I stay composed. Never under the influence. I'm over the influence, homie. That's what's up." He popped his collar, suddenly proud of himself for absolutely no reason. He liked to envision himself as an intelligent stoner.

"Funny of you to say you don't want me tripping when you actually have no idea what that stuff does to me," Anna pointed out blankly. "Over the influence and over the moon..."

Stewart turned red again and then turned around.
"I don't have a stick up my rear, thank you very much," he snapped quickly.
Vic was weird sometimes and maybe that is what annoyed Stewart of Vic. Vic made him feel embarrass and nervous. He was the only military man who could. It was because even when he was sober he was still high. And when he was high he was sober. And that made him say outrageous things that made Stewart nervous a bit.

"The dudes in the botany lab seem like they know what they doin'," Vic said. "Ain't steered me wrong yet. They know if they gimme some bad s***, I'm gon' roll up in there and start whoopin' a**. Give a dog a bone, ya dig."

"I don't have a stick up my rear, thank you very much," Stewart snapped.

"Not anymore you don't. Did it hurt?"

He loved getting on Stewart's nerves. It was only a matter of time before the poor guy snapped and one of two things happened. Option #1: Stewart gains a sense of humor and everyone gets along dandy.

Option #2: Stewart goes on a murderous rampage, stalking the halls with an AK-47, pumping rounds into anything that moves before finally turning the gun on himself and yelling "f*** the world" before painting the walls red with his own overused, underindulged brain.

Vic crossed his fingers and hoped for option #1.

    Stewart stared at Vic.
"I'm not into druggy jokes, I like the Far Side and Dilbert comics, those are always fun," Stewart said, "You should share your jokes with someone who may get you...Lex....and I never had a stick up my but, I was the one who always was bailing you out whenever Reese got pissed, Reese has three sticks up his a$$ and each one farther then the other."
    Stewart smiled.

"I think Reese needs something else up his ass, if you know what I mean," Anna muttered in Stewart's ear, just loud enough for Vic to overhear. "Or maybe it's more like he needs to stick something up someone else's ass." She shrugged. "Either way I think he needs to get laid."

Last night as you walked another shaking turned the facility. The second explosion happened.
Though this one not as big as the other, it messed up what was left of the facility.

    R.I.P. Ara Shade
In the cafeteria when the battle was going on, no one had noticed the slip with Ara. Then tentacles wrapped around her body and began to drag her in. There was need for panic, since Ara shade was still unconscious. It finally dragged her towards, it's hidden mouth. It dragged her in. Ara died on impact when her body made a nice crunch.

    R.I.P. Max Remler
Andrew had just left Max on the ground helpless and unconscious. Beyond Andrews' knowledge he didn't know Max would be an instant meal for a Juicer. The Juicer found the unconscious body, well actually Max had gained some conscious. His vision blurry and he couldn't really see the figure.
    "That....you....Andrew," he managed to say.
The figure picked him up with four arms. Max was still to out of it to realize. He heard a noise as if blades had been sharpened. It was almost as if knives were a walking up call. He gained enough conscious to see the bladed teeth. The creature stuck Max in it's head.
You watched as Max's legs spun around like if in a blender. Whatever was left of Max the Juicer clenched it's jaws and walked off.

    R.I.P. Walter Johnson
His body was closer to the generator then the others. When the secondary explosion happened the burst of cellular and just plain old fire burned his body instantly, he felt no pain. It was quick and to the point.

    The Group

After the secondary explosion everyone was still all right. Though explosion opened up new pathways. The large group took these pathways and it led them to meet up with Edgar Glaze, Andrew Vosjr, and Donovan Shoval.
Each meeting was different then the other.
They found Andrew dancing around in the hallyways, ducking and weaving through the corners as if his fancy ballpoint pen were going to do anything. At first they had just thought Andrew had lost his marbles, but Lex confirmed he had enough marbles to continue.
Edgar and Donovan had found themselves in the center of the lobby. The large group saw them and came over.
Edgar was greeted by the death glare of Reese and the order to stay near Reese for a while.
Lex has fixed Donovan's hearing a bit.

Keira's eyelids fluttered open, and she looked about in confusion. Where were they? What had happened? Why had she been unconscious? She had awakened to find herself in Reese's arms, with her head against his shoulder. "What the hell?" she exclaimed, now more confused than ever.

And then she remembered: the battle against the aliens, her leg nearly being decapitated, Reese saving her life, drifting into unconsciousness . . .

The pain in her leg was not gone; she doubted she could even stand, but she had to try. "Let . . . Let me down," she said softly, pushing against him until he let her go. "Where . . . are we?" asked Keira, still in a daze, supporting herself by leaning against a wall.

She had been correct. She couldn't walk. She could barely stand. It would be difficult making her way through the facility while leaning against the wall, but she had to try. Being in Reese's arms had made her feel . . . strange. Limping around in pain was far better.

Marcellus looked around for Ara, and saw her nowhere. He had just laid her down momentarily, and she was gone. It had to be those things. They took her, and she's probably dead. He didn't even get to say goodbye to her. Though they were separated, they promised to try to work things out. So much for that plan.

Reluctantly, he got back to work again. Reese seemed to have calmed down, well, at least according to Reese's standards. And with Vic providing stand up comedy, the group was well entertained.

Back to Reese, he was holding Keira in his arms before she woke up not pleased with that sight. She was resting on the wall with questions about her location. With all the fire, smoke and aliens lurking about, that was a damn good question.

They had been walking for a long time. Everyone seemed talkative after the fight in the cafeteria, but all the chatter died down after a while. Twenty or thirty minutes -- baybe an hour, nobody knew what time it was -- Keira interrrupted the silence.

"What the hell?" she exclaimed. "Let . . . Let me down.... Where . . . are we?" she asked, still in a daze.

"We're not dead yet," Vic said, walking a few feet behind her and Reese. "That's the best I got, yo." The group never stopped and she was already being left behind. That bad leg was going to be a problem for everyone if this kept up.

"Need some help?" he asked, pausing beside her, but he knew she probably wasn't in the mood for being carried again. Turning to Reese, he added, "if y'all can make super-aliens an' s***, can't you fix a f***** leg? I know y'all got somewhere we can fix this... or cut it off." Keira didn't seem to like that last part. "Hey, I'm just keepin' it real," he said.

Reese watched and he didn't put up much of a fight when Keira pushed him a way. But when he watched her on the wall, trying to walk not even limping like a lame horse it kind of made him a bit angry.
"God f#$king damn it Keira if you can't do it on your own don't leave on your own," Reese said, "You can barely walk, let alone limp..."
He wanted to say something along the lines of "I'll give you a piggy back ride" or "Just let me carry you again", but that was just uncomfortable. He stared at her.
"Fine graze across the ground, when you can't keep up with the group don't expect me or anyone else to run back after....you made the decision," Reese said.
Was the increase in anger because he cared for her or was it because Edgar was here.
Or was it a combination of both. It made him a bit angry that he cared for anyone.

Reese sounded a little too eager to carry Keira across the threshold. Perhaps they had a little office fling. Marcellus was in no place to judge, nor would he anyway. That's how he met his now late wife. But back to Reese, the man's creepiness was showing more and more by the minute.

M usually spoke to Reese for all of two minutes per month. He would ask for a report, but the operation had no cracks in it, so there was no news for M to report. Simple life. A little too simple. Now he has a chance for some action, but the backdrop is ridiculously unfavorable for him. He replied to Reese's words for Keira.

"Don't worry, we won't leave you."

"No, I don't need anyones help!" Keira said to Vic, quite loudly. She hadn't meant for it to come out like that. Perhaps the stress was finally getting to her. She didn't say anything when Vic mentioned cutting off her leg. Maybe that would be a good thing. When Reese started to talk to her, Keira studied him carefully. Why was he acting so strange? What was his problem?

"I think I can manage . . ." she began, but when he began walking, using the wall as support, her leg gave out underneath her and she cursed quietly for a few seconds. "Damn it! This stupid leg!" Keira didn't want to admit it, but she had to. She didn't want to be left behind; not when she had come so far. "Okay, okay, maybe I do need a bit of help."

"What kind of help?" Reese asked, "You need support...someones shoulder so that way you can walk...use Edgar's shoulder he'll help out, since he didn't do his job right and he was the one who is responsible for that."
Reese grabbed Edgar and dragged him over to Keria.
    "Help her," Reese said.
Truth was Reese didn't want to touch Keira any more. This whole situation the generator exploding and things made him upset, but she made him happy. In a situation like this there were awkward chemical messages. It was strange, he didn't like it so he would distance himself.

Anna couldn't help feeling bad for Keira at the idea of either Edgar or Reese helping her out, so she decided to come to the rescue. "Need a hand?" she asked, stepping up next to Keira and holding out her hand. "I could carry you, if you like." She flashed a grin. "Or you could just lean on me."

"No, I don't need anyones help!" Keira yelled.

"That's cool," Vic said, calmly. "You and the wall seem to working out nicely."

"I think I can manage . . ." she began, then almost fell. "Damn it! This stupid leg! Okay, okay, maybe I do need a bit of help."

"Oh really? Are you talking to me?" he asked, knowing damn well she wasn't. Then, Reese snatched Edgar and dragged him over to Keira for support. "What the f***, man? Ed ain't good for that s***." True, Edgar wasn't the best person for manual labor. Edgar knew that, but he'd never talk back to Reese. Vic did that for him plenty of times. It looked as if Anna wanted in on the action too, but she was no better than Edgar. Why all the small fries tryin' to act like Big Macs today? he thought.

Vic shoved Edgar aside and put Keira's arm over his shoulder. "Now quit b******," he said. "You slowin' everybody down."
