Vic wasn't hungry. He'd eaten before everything went downhill. But, just to be safe, he crammed his pockets with candy anyway. There was no telling when they'd find another machine. He took a seat on the wall next to Keira who seemed to be separated from Anna for a moment. She was sleeping lightly. Perhaps it was time to bring her back from the dark side, before it was too late. He whispered in her ear, using his sexy voice. "What ya dreamin' 'bout, baby? Is it Vic? Tall, dark, and handsome? Ya got the real thang right here, waitin' fo' ya." He purred like a kitten.
Keira was still half-asleep, but she could hear the man whispering in her ear. "What do you want?" she asked wearily, annoyed already. Why did she have to put up with so many idiotic men?
"What do you want?" Keira asked, annoyed. "Nothin'... just saying hi." This was going to be harder than he thought. Vic cleared his throat -- and his head -- before going on. "Sooo... how's it goin' Kei?"
"How's it going? What do you think?" Keira replied, wide awake now. "The facility just blew up, we all barely survived a battle against aliens, I have to put up with you, Reese, Edgar, and all the other morons in this group, and I almost got my leg chopped off. This isn't exactly my best day ever." She paused, then asked, "but how are you?"

"Thank you for asking." She was totally pissed off. Normally, he'd offer a joint to rectify this situation, but not today. She needs a more permanent fix. "But what's this about me and the other morons?" he asked. "Do I offend?"
"Well, I suppose you're not all that bad compared to Reese, but still . . . You're all morons," Keira began, and then she frowned. "I've just been so stressed out lately. I'm not myself at all. It's good to know that someone is doing all right, at least, and not all of us are going at each other's throats."

I'd be pissed too if I was a f***** cripple. Ima talk to Reese in a minute and see waz gud wit findin' somethin' we can do 'bout that. Ima git you fixed up or at least find a wheelchair or some s***, ya dig."
Keira laughed. "Sounds good." Maybe she was finally de-stressing. That snack and nap really refreshed her, but she knew that in only a few minutes, the break would be over and everyone would start fighting again. She would have to deal with her leg, the situation, and worse of all, Reese. She shuddered at the thought of it.
"I got it!" shouted Andrew. He held his hand high above his head; the final apple ring was hugging his index finger. Andrew wiggled his finger and looked at everyone, a grin spreading across his face. "You will all play musical chairs. The winner will get the final ring. The losers will just have to suffer without the apple goodness." Andrew stoop up and patted his butt, dust fell to the floor and he smiled at everyone in turn.
Donovan had been trailing behind everyone as they moved around. He had kept his thoughts to himself. There seemed like there was more that could been done by them to escape. "Hey," he shouted at the whole group, "Is there a terminal somewhere we can use?"
Jena leaned casually against the wall, quietly munching on her bag of chips. Her earlier anger towards Reese had dissipated, but that in no way meant she was done with the guy. Keira was quietly talking with Vic, Andrew was shouting some nonesense about musical chairs, Stewart looked like he was sleeping, and Anna was standing a few feet away. Pushing herself off the wall she walked over to the girl. "Hey, Stewart any better?"
Someone was asking him a question. He opened his eyes since he was just resting them in the first place. "I'm fine," Stewart said. Slightly the truth he was fine and that just weirded him out. He was fine, he still felt like he was going to throw up. He still felt like a patient diagnosed with cancer and yet he was fine. Or maybe he was lying to himself, maybe he let the anxiety really really get to him. He knew sometimes when his anxiety reached a peek that he could no longer actually feel the anxiety and then he was fine. * * * Lex stared at Andrew. "Possibly musical Apple Rings instead you see," he said.
"Look dude your not going to die, you should be happier. So what, some thing is inside you, Lex said it will make your immune system stronger. Stop freaking out." Jena smirked a little at him, "Maybe Andrew and Lex's game of music chairs and apple rings will cheer you up." She added sarcastically her smile widening a bit. Strange as it was, she was actually kind of happy right now, even though they were in a deserted facility with aliens hunting them down and a group of insane maniacs. She let out a quiet snort of laughter, oh yeah, she fit right in with those insane maniacs.
"It's not that I can cheer up or that I am sad...I am just nervous, what if Lex was wrong," Stewart said, "And what I do if one day I contaminate someone on Earth....it can happen some Diver contamination to other people...I'm not worried about myself more or less people, I'm worried about people." Stewart wasn't planning on letting all that was bothering come out as one giant word form, but it did. But it didn't really make him feel any better. "Lex and Andrew are strange, you play musical chairs with them on that Mexican Holiday they don't needs to drinks to continue," Stewart said with a smile.
Donovan shook his head. He hate being ignored. "Stewart you will be fine. We need information, what are we supposed to be doing now? Where are we going to get out of here?"
M looked on with a blank stare. He was bored with this break. Why the f*ck were they stopping when GOD knows how many aliens were out there? It didn't make sense to him. But he would be outvoted anyway, so there was really no alternative. He closed his eyes a moment, not sleeping, not even resting. He was just dealing with his lack of patience for everyone else. If he wasn't on the clock, it would be a completely different story.
"Donovan you work here right, where would we go in case of an emergency...the escape ships remember," Stewart said, "That was the whole plan if there was ever and emergency....the ships should be safe since they were away from the facility and top of the planet's surface in their own safe little airport area." Stewart smiled at him.
"Look, Lex is a lunatic, but he does know medicine. He's an amazing doctor, and that's why he was hired. I know your worried about hurting other people, but if you spend your life worring about that you won't have a life. And anyways, we are a long ways away from coming in contact with anyone else from Earth." She gave him a small reassuring smile while inwardly being shocked at herself. Jena couldn't remember the last time she had genuinely wanted to comfort and reassure someone...ok that wasn't true, but there was a reason she didn't think about it. There was a reason she kept herself closed off from everyone and would never cry, or do anythin that was weak. She shook her head to clear those thoughts, she didn't need them now and adressed Stewart again, "I'll pass on playing musical chairs with them, shockingly it's not really my thing." She smiled at him.
Andrew looked at Lex and said, "Looks like everyone just likes the idea more than actually playing musical chairs with us." Andrew tossed the final apple ring into his mouth and chewed animatedly. The sound of his feral chewing was reminiscent of a similar sound he had heard while wandering the facility hallways alone. Hmm, we should move. I can smell the fumes building up in here. Andrew walked over to Reese and poked him. "We should get moving, these fumes can do things to your head," Andrew lowered his voice and continued "Can drive you insane."
Reese stared at Andrew and he got up. "He's right 10 minutes up...we have to go now," Reese said. * * * Stewart smiled at Jenna. She reminded him of Anna always willing to comfort. Or maybe it was just the effect he had on people. Or maybe he liked to think he had that affect. As the group began to get up, suddenly 3 creatures came running from the hallway, they looked like strange licorice sticks. It was the Wiggles.
"I know that, but am I the only Time guard that knows how to hack a computer. We need to figure out how to get there. Does anyone know an area a PC might have survived near here?" Donovan was pacing back and forth. There were creatures after them and he was not about to just stand around and wait for them to get him. Action had to be taken and now. Donovan looked ahead and pulled out one handgun. Something was always out there. He shot one round at the creature seeing what it would do.
Jena smiled back at Stewart. There was something so familiar and almost comforting about him. She had only felt this safe around a few people before, but never around guys, her father and Marcus had made sure of that. Hearing a noise behind her she turned around to find aliens coming up behind them that looked like licorice. "Aw ****! not again!" She pulled out her gun and pointed at the nearest creature hitting it.
Reese shot the last one. "They are the only harmless species here, their vomit is just a tracker, but they die pretty easily...and usually they just throw up on you and die," Reese paused, "Not the most normal thing in the world though."
"well at lest that was easy." She put her gun back in her belt, focusing intently on her work, she could feel the anger bubbling up inside, but the last thing the group needed was for her and Reese to lose it again, even if the jackass deserved it. Slowly looked up again, carefully controlling herslef, but she couldn't stop herself from shooting a death glare across the hall at Reese.
