Stewart stared at Jena. "The throw up is like a beacon....a tracker of pheromones," Stewart paused, "I believe Reese is alive too." Stewart stared at them, truth was he didn't want to lose someone. He didn't want to lose people.
Suddenly the group saw a figure from the darkness emerging. Could it be Reese? No a giant muscular creature with a lot of eyes came towards them. It was a General. "I nt hre to hrt u," it began in their head, "I ask qustn, u answr."
"Lets go. Stewart show us the way. Everyone stay close and I will bring up the rear. Let's find Reese or his body." Donovan holstered his pistol and revolver. Jena was about to crack but he did not want her to endanger the group. "Jena you stay near me. If you need help just lean on me." Donovan left no one behind marked with a tracker or not. The General caught Donovan off guard and his revolver was at the ready before anyone blinked. "They can talk. What the...? What do you want? Where's Reese?
Keira was concerned, now not only for Reese, but for Jena as well. What was the matter with her? Was she really alright? "Jena?" she questioned, knowing the woman wasn't telling the truth - not entirely, at least. When Stewart mentioned something about thinking that Reese was alive, Keira nodded to him. "Thank you, Stewart. At least someone agrees with me." She really did appreciate it. After all the arguments that had transpired over the past few minutes, she was relieved. And then a figure appeared in the distance - a General. "Damn . . ." Keira muttered. When it spoke, she was too shocked to reply. "What . . . Who are you?" she demanded, afraid.
A large figure was approaching form the darkness. Vic raised his handgun; he didn't want to use the rail gun until he knew for sure what it was. "I nt hre to hrt u," it began in their head, "I ask qustn, u answr." The voice seemed to be coming from within. It was communicating telepathically. Vic lowered his gun. He didn't believe the I'm not here to hurt you, part, but if they were offering to talk it out, he was all ears. "Go on. I'm waitin'," he said.
The General stared at them. "Me Regios of Gnrl clny," he replied, "I ask qustns hre nt u." The General's thousand eyes blinked all at once and each eye stared at each member individually.
Keira sneered. What the hell would the alien want to know? "Fine, go ahead and speak, but after you're finished I will question you." Keira was frightened, but she wouldn't let even a General stop her. Reese could die any minute, and if the alien help them up for much longer, she would kill it.
Donovan kept his Revolver up. Everyone else may be willing to put there weapons aside but he was not. This ting was going to talk staring down the barrel of his equalizer. He drew the machete from his back. Nothing wrong with a little extra backup. "What do you want?" He waited to hear what it had to say.
"Quit f***** around and let the d*** thing talk," Vic said. Everyone seemed to have a question for it. Why didn't they ask Reese this kinda s*** when he was around? There's nothing these aliens know that their creator doesn't. Vic cleared his throat and turned to the General again. "Go on. I'm listenin'."
"U udrstnd teh stuatn," he paused, "Fr yrs u frnds ben crl to my ppl and nw u sht at us wthout cre....do u cre abt us?" The general stared at them separately again.
"Care about you?" Keira said, angry. She wasn't exactly in a good mood; there was no time for small talk. "Care about you? You've tried to kill us. Not just once, no. Every time we turn a corner, you're "people" are waiting for us, ready to rip us apart! And you think we actually care about you?" She actually began to feel sorry for the alien. It seemed so . . . sad.
Jena looked at the creature. She had never viewed these things as beings with feelings before...she had viewed them as things. She took a tentative step forward still looking at it. She wanted to say somthing to it, but she didn't know what her answer to the beings question was. "Do you care about us?" She finally asked quietly
"I don't know what you are and did not know you were here, so how can I care about you? Why does it matter if we do?" Donovan stared the thing down.
"U udrstnd teh stuatn," he paused, "Fr yrs u frnds ben crl to my ppl and nw u sht at us wthout cre....do u cre abt us?" "Care about you? I don't even know you, man," Vic said. "First time I met you, you was tryin' to eat us, dude. You need to chill wit' all that s***. I'm cool if you cool homie. Wanna share a joint? Puff, puff, pass. ya feel me?" He seriously didn't give a f*** what the General said. This guy is so full of s***, he thought, looking at the monster standing in front of him.
"Ur pple cme hre, tok ovr our wrld and trnd us into exprments," the General said, "Not my pple thy nvr attkd u...it ws Karon's pple, teh othr Gnrl frm anthr clny." The General paused. "If my pple attkd u, it ws only fr frdm," the General said, "I cre to a pnt abt u spcs, but u hrt us...so why shld we cre?"
"Karon's colony? So, it wasn't you who attacked us?" Keira said, more to herself than to the General. "I'm sorry for hurting your people, but there was nothing we could do. They attacked us first. We can't just let them kill us." She paused, then ventured to ask. "But now that you've asked us a question, I'm going to ask you one." She knew that it was the General who had hurt Reese. She just knew it. "What have you done with our friend?"
"Ok so we are caught in the middle of a war? I did not sign up for this. What were the scientist doing to you?
The General stared at the man who asked about the scientist. "Thy tok our hme awy frm us and thy use us lke slves...thy exprmnted new chmcls on us....and klld me chldrn," The General stared at the woman. "He hert ws crl and he tok no rspsiblty fr wht he hd dne...he mde me md so I hrt hm a bit aftr he hrt me," Regios said, "My pple nvr attkd mybe once or twce, but nt all teh tme....jst a mnte ago Karon did." General stared at the woman who asked her the question he stared at her with sadness and then his blinked at her. "I dn't no whre ur frnd is nw...he my be ded cse I blve I may hve wnt to hrd," The General then turned around and began to make a move on to let them do whatever they must.
"We did kill, but it was purely in self-defense...we cannot tell a peaceful colony from an harmful one. We wouldn't kill someone who came in peace. We just want to get out of here. We're sorry." Something about the General's pure, sorrowful questions was tugging at Jena's heart, something that hadn't happened in a long time. She took another tentavive step forward. But the General had turned it's back on them and was walking away.
"Let's move. He is done talking and I am done listening. Keira, do not listen to this fool. We will go look for your man and see for ourselves. If he is dead, well, you reap what you sow." Donovan moved around the creature holding the revolver on him. He gave everyone room to move past him and the General. Donovan was going to protect the people no matter what.
They heard a malicious cackle from behind them. "Going so soon Regiosssss," said a voice, "How sssad, I wanted to play with some more." The group turned around and stared at wherever the voice was coming from. Out into the light Lex smiled at them. "Why all of you looking at me?" he asked. "Lex....." Stewart began. "I'm no Lex, that scientist has been dead for a while now.....and I am no Karon before you think so," the voice cackled, "I have no use for this pathetic disguise....since it already seems like you know Regiosss." The flesh of Lex's body disappeared and they saw an alien that they had never seen before. Half of it's body was that of a humans and quite attractive male, the other half was that of a snake. "Aaaaaahaaaaa!" he cackled, "This is good...humans uh....take use for experiments, we've been hiding among you, you know that....one of our best qualities....unlike Regios or Karon...we know how to perfectly speak and perfectly disguise ourselves."

Ya feel me?" Vic reached in his pocket and tossed a marker at the General. It bounced off the creature's head and landed on the floor. "My bad. I thought you was gon' catch that." He took a deep breath of sweet space weed and continued listening to the creature's talk. "Blah blah blah... I dn't no whre ur frnd is nw...he my be ded cse I blve I may hve wnt to hrd," The General said before leaving. "Woah, woah, woah, chill fo' a minute," Vic said, taking the blunt out of his mouth. "You wupped Reese's a**?" He burst out laughing. "I like this dude. We cool, man," he called after the General, which was now leaving. "What'd he say his name was? Something with an 'R.' Reg-something... Reggie? Whatever his name was, I like that dude. That's my brutha from anotha mutha right there." Then, Lex went ape-s***. Vic wasn't laughing anymore.
Anna felt like beating her head against the wall. She couldn't care less about these aliens and their pity affairs, though she did feel a pang of annoyance that everyone was accusing the aliens of blindly attacking. Didn't they realize they'd been experimenting on them? Of course these aliens were mad and would want revenge. Scientists should not be so stupid, though military personnel were known for being pig-headed brutes. "What on earth is going on here," she muttered angrily under her breath, hoisting her deployable gun at the face of the new alien--this one seemed far more dangerous than the General; Regios.
"What is going on here? One of you scientist tell me what that thing is?!" The shock of the new alien had put some Jena's spirit back into her. She pointed her gun at the new creature, she was still shking but years of practice kept her gun steady. Whats with the alien meet and greet? the attempt at a sarcastic remark was feeble but it felt mroe secure. She moved her gun up a little. "Who or what are you?"
