Hi everyone! I love writing. I get lots of inspiration from watching people in malls, at work, and just in general. I have written hundreds of short stories and have a couple of novella ideas too. I've focused mainly on fiction (with plenty of erotica, but i'll keep my posts G-rated here). I'm looking forward to interacting with other authors to keep me flush with great ideas and inspiration. I grew up in rural Alabama, but I've traveled to over 20 countries on all continents except Antarctica. Let's make some great content.
Welcome aboard, Lorne! Sounds like you're already well into the writing game, and we always look forward to new members to become part of the conversation. Be sure to check out The Rules and the New Member Quick Start Guide if you haven't already, and feel free to jump in. Bad news and good news: You'll need to be a member for two weeks and have twenty posts before you can post anything of your own for critique in the Workshop, and you need to make two constructive critiques of others' Workshop entries for each new thread you start there. That's not just an entry fee, it's an ongoing obligation, but really not at all one that's hard to meet. The good news is that we have an Erotica subforum here that you'll be free to post in once you've met your basic workshop requirements. It's got its own special set of rules, so make extra sure to check those out before you dive in, but this forum runs the gamut from G to a medium R before ducking behind the 18 and up curtain of the Erotica forum. So anyway, feel free to wander about, join a discussion or two, and take a look in the Workshop and get started on building up those critiques.
Inspiration from real people & real world is the best kind of inspiration there is. No Antarctica? Well... We do have our own South A specialist here. Wellcome!
People watching: just how I get my inspiration. The great thing is that you are never, ever bored if there are people around. A fairly central character of mine came from a man who I saw in a supermarket, choosing tomatoes. True story. See y'around.
