    ACT (writing portion!)

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Daniel, Apr 14, 2007.

I'm taking the ACT in about an hour and a half. Today! Anyway, any tips? Especially on the writing portion.

    Gracias!

Bring a book. The whole thing is easy and boring as h__l, so you need to be ready for like two hours' worth of free time.

Aptitude College Tests, or something like that. I can never be buggered to remember the names of all the nation-wide school-testing type things.

Just got back. I'm sore. Hah.

They actually wouldn't let me bring a book in. I took a practice test thing before and did decent on it, but I did worse this time. More pressure, you know. I think I did mediocre though.

    Thanks,

When will you get your results.

In my experience sometimes when I think I've done worse I've actually done better.

Im sure this is the case with you. :)

I agree here... i tend to find that if i think i've done well then i've not done as well as i think but if i think i've done badly then i actually do better. If that made any sense to you...

Anyways I hope you did ok :)

Eh, I'm pretty sure that's not the case. I did pretty well in the prep class I took.

    I don't get the results for another 4 - 6 weeks.
