In the WIP @KaTrian and I are working on we have two teenage siblings (16yo girl, 18yo boy). We'd like both of them to have a chronic skin condition that: 1. Can spread all over the body. 2. Does cause visible marks. 3. Causes some kind of physical discomfort like soreness, itching etc, physical stuff like peeling skin, rashes, marks etc. 4. Allows them to train contact sports at least periodically. 5. Prevents them from training contact sports when the condition flares up. It would probably have to be at least partly genetic or something because we need both siblings to have the condition. So far we've looked at several different skin conditions (and saw some things that cannot be unseen... ), but have found only three that seem viable at this point: 1. Eczema 2. Atopic Dermatitis 3. Psoriasis Vulgaris Could any of those fit the bill? How debilitating would they be? The story is fairly flexible, but we do need them to be able to survive on the road. They do have access to pharmacies etc, so that's not a problem. As usual, any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Just in case.... just in case... http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/index?letter=A Start there and go through the alphabet. Otherwise.... Dang. Wish I could say consult your friendly neighborhood dermatologist, but those are rare beasts these days.
These guys have the skinny on about 150 skin conditions http://www.skin-disorders.net/diseases/acquired-melanocytic-nevocellular-nevi.html
CGD, maybe? Or would that be too debilitating? https://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001239.htm
