    Yeah I've heard of the show but I also get tired of the trope of "the government know about aliens the whole time since Roswell and never made advancements or tried to make contact since"

    Any space alien that actually looks exactly, 100% like a normal person, and the only reason we know that they're an alien is a context, pointy ears, or a bit of makeup.

    Examples:
    • Vulcans
    • Half of the aliens in star trek TOS
    • Kryptonians
    I'm fine with beings that take human form purely to trifle with humans (so long as it is explained and explored as an element of that alien's character. See: Q), and I'm fine when the writers at least make an effort to make them look non-human within their budgetary constraints (Worf and the Gorn are pretty good).
