This is always, ALWAYS, the most awkward part. Even in person introducing yourself can be difficult. Feel free to call me Eff. I am, hmm, not quite a beginner writer. I think like most I've been writing stories in one form or another for years, but it's only been recently that I've really delved into how to make my stories better. Right now I'm really working on crafting plot and creating three-dimensional characters. I chose to write in fanfiction because I don't ever want writing to feel like work. While there is a lot of stress when writers get popular I don't qualify as of yet, and I like the ability to pick up an idea, put it down, play with something else, or maybe discard it without having to take anyone else's opinion into it. I might write original fiction to get published one day, but it is far down the road from here.
Hey there, FireFly. I don't think your take on the matter is bad at all. Sounds to me like you understand that there is practice involved. You see a lot of forumites say things to the tune of "I've never really written anything, but I've got an idea, so I'm going to write a novel, and this will be the novel I try to publish... without ever having written anything before.... ever. Should be easy, right?" Make sure to have a look at the PM you'll have gotten from me upon joining. Wrey
Thanks for the welcome. I did read the PM and I'm a big lover of rules, so if I mess up, it's probably on accident. See you around?
Cheers fellow new comer! Looking forward to watching you battle dragons... whatever form that dragon may take. Be it plot crafting, or otherwise. Catch you 'round!
