Well, for the last five days (it's 1 a.m. here right now), I had been writing in a frenzy, whenever I powered on my computer and mostly late into the night. So I wrote as much as I could, and now, after day 5, my new novel's word count stands at approximately 10,500 words. So wooooooooo 10K in five days is pretty good, isn't it?
It's a fast-paced YA novel. I wrote the plot outline before I started writing this, so 10K in five days was made possible. And that's the tip of the day: write the plot outline in detail before you start writing the novel itself
I have written three novels, all fantasy, and all sequels to one another. I didn't do word counts in the beginning, but when I was 13, I finished my first novel (315 pages, 12 font, Times New Roman, Single Spaced).
Well done Hulk. That is definitely something to be really of and something to most definitely celebrate. I hope the rest of the piece you are writing goes well.
Wow, 10,000 words in 5 days is awesome...I wish I could put stuff out that fast I hope you share some of it on here; it sounds like you're really excited about it, which always makes it better to read!
Rumpole - Thanks Let's start whenever you want Banzai - Thanks I'm aiming at 50K (it's YA), so if I keep writing at this speed I'l have it done in another 20 days. Torana - Thanks I really appreciate it. LibyAnn - Thanks, though I don't think I'll be posting any part of it here, because I'm thinking of trying to publish it
