I was wondering if there are any musicians who post on this forum. I am a singer-songwriter I record my music at home with basic equipment, I try to make it sound as nice as possible working with what I have. This is my youtube channel: youtube.com/vladmusician Any other musicians feel free to share your work or your stories. Have a good day.
I used to play the Double Bass in classical music, but gave that up years ago. I now play the bongo drums.
I used to play guitar in a 'two man garage band' haha. It was a lot of fun. Nowadays though, I'm limited to the drums on Rock Band on the PS3.
There's already a few similar threads if you use the search function. There are a few of us on the forum. I play guitar myself.
A long time ago, I played in bands and wrote songs. Some of those bands did well and in one particular one, we actually made a living touring around Alberta. These days, I rarely pick up my guitar.
I learned guitar when I was 14 and haven't improved much since then, but I do still pick it up now and again. I was in a 2 girl "band" when I was 16, I was the rythm guitarist and singer. We did a few open mic nights at a local pub, but it ended when we couldn't find a drummer. Now I'm by myself making covers to put on Soundcloud. I find writing songs is a great way to procrastinate when I should be trying to finish my book!
I can play guitar, but not too well. I haven't really played in a long time, instead I sing because I find that way easier. I don't really have any recording equipment other than my laptop, which is alright, but I'm definitely looking to get some small mic. The link to my soundcloud is in my signature, actually, if ya want to know what I sound like.
@Shbooblie right back at ya! I love the emotion and uniqueness in your voice! It kind of reminds me of Matthew Bellamy's voice (which is definitely a compliment!), just the female version.
@Lydia thank you so much. I absolutely love Matt Bellamy and Muse and @Solar, I used to play the Kazoo although I admit I had to give it up as I found it too difficult not to pop the membrane thing at the top when blowing into it
Play solo and sometimes use the pocket studio I got a few years ago to record some stuff. Play the drums (15 years), guitar, and dabble with digitally produced music on a free studio website (though it is a little limited on what you can use unless you pay for more). Have 2 songs I made from the website up on youtube that are quite mellow (compared to what I normally listen to). Just music and pictures slideshow types. youtube/demonshammer
I play guitar and sing. I used to play the flute as well, but I haven't owned one for twenty years or more, so I can't make that claim any more. One day I'll pick it up again, I guess. I also used to play keyboards, but I don't practice them. I have a pretty decent synthesizer, but I only use it for its MIDI interface, so I can run my Sibelius composition software through it.
I play Clarinet for marching band and just started learning guitar. It's really fun for me, although i don't expect to be a famous rock star. It's all about the music for me.
At the risk of being annoying, here's my Soundcloud if anyone is interested: https://soundcloud.com/shbooblie I'd love to hear anybody else's if they post them on this thread too
Interesting to see the creative talent here. In my day-to-day life I do not run into many creative people. Most of them are stuck in the work-life-consumption-death cycle, their souls trapped deep in the grips of capitalism. Shbooblie I like your sound cloud. I am not that active on mine but here is the link: https://soundcloud.com/the-dream-herb-experience I am more active on youtube, I have more material there.
Memememe! I'm a musician... Welll... sorta. xD I don't really record or anything- but I do play my guitar and sing a lot on my free time. I just went to drop by on your Youtube. xD I'm not as passionate as you. haha.
