    Anyone speak Japanese?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Fluxhavok, Jul 16, 2008.

i'm trying to learn japanese, (at least enough to get around) for a trip i'm taking early next year. i bought a few books and the rosetta stone program and i was wondering if anyone here can speak it. it'd be nice to be able to ask questions and have someone be able to point out flaws and fill me in on all the cool slang. if n-e-one cud help ah'd 'preciate that fuh sho, nah mean?

There actually is a forum rule that all posts must be in English. We do have one experimental forum in which posting in Spanish is permitted, but that's the only approved exception at this point. As a practical matter, we do allow occasional phrases in other languages, but that's it.

Part of the reason is that we cannot effectively moderate the site if there is a significant quantity of content that the moderators cannot read and understand.

Just ask for help here, and get lessons through private messaging or another medium.
