Name: Maurice Millery. Age: 39. Gender: Male. Race: Human. Faction: Angels Appearance & description: Maurice is a tall man, with short, neatly combed hair. He is fair-skinned, with a healthy tint. He takes great pride in his own appearance and is clearly able to look his best every minute of every day. His jawline is a sharp as his tongue and he is among the fairest amidst the few humans that still remain. History: Maurice Millery is the brother of Edward Millery and the uncle of Hugo Millery. Maurice and Edward were loving brothers. Of the two, Maurice was the intellectual, the thinker, the schemer. Edward on the other hand was much more practical, and a great mechanic. They had very little differences until one day, Edward stumbled upon an ancient design of a key. Maurice was quick to realize the value and potential of the key, but in spite of his best efforts was unable to construct the device. Edward, being much more adept at mechanics, did manage to make a prototype of the key. Jealous, and having a far better understanding of the key itself, Maurice tried to persuade Edward to hand him the key, but to no avail. Maurice Millery currently has a powerful, influential position in Raphael's court, sometimes even advising the High Seraph personally. Weapons: His intellect. A magical ring. A polished, silver dagger. Skills: BLAST: Maurice can use the magical ring to blast his opponents backwards. GHOST: Maurice can create an illusion of himself. It can do everything except interact with objects. For instance, this very real looking illusion is unable to pick up a book. In short, the illusion is ghost-like in everything, except appearance.

Also I'm a bit confused now that I re-read I'm posting on the assumption that Hugo is escaping with Nyxx and they're surrounded by angels... Am I right?
Yes. Hugo was escaping on Nyxx's back. Talahari halted them, then she adressed Hugo by his name, even though Hugo never told her his name (though if I am being honest, I think Keit accidentally called Hugo by his name through Talahari. I noticed and went back to check if Hugo ever told her his name but found that he didn't which is why I made a point about it. Gotta love coincidences like these). Talahari then let slide that she knew something about Hugo's father. Hugo then read the last text that was ever received from Edward Millery. Now I am trying to be a bit realistic here, so sorry if Hugo gets a bit dreadful. But honestly, I for one wouldn't expect a thirteen year old to pick up a blade offered to him by a stranger (aka Ivalna) when he has just discovered that his father, whom he has spent a year looking for, is dead. He is quite devastated. To give you an idea of what's going on inside of him: - His father is dead. - He doesn't know if his sister is still alive. - He is getting annoyed at everyone feeling like they should protect him. First of all, he is 13 so getting annoyed is easy. Second, he has been able to fend for himself for over a year, only since people decided to "help" him did things go downhill. - He no longer feels like he has purpose since his quest to retrace his family has come to a dead stop. - He is confused by his relationship to Nyxx. - He is even more confused by Ivalna. First off because of her odd way of speaking and second because she appeared out of nowhere, third because she seems to magically know things about him. So, that's why he is acting distant and angered. I think you can all understand unless you have the emotional span of a dot.
Of course I noticed all that.. But that's what make it more interesting.. To describe Ivalna, she is kinda a character who'll do whatever she want to Also this First off because of her odd way of speaking and second because she appeared out of nowhere, third because she seems to magically know things about him That's the idea, she must be felt like an alien or something like that, an otherworldly being. On fact I liked how you used a letter. It helped me to play with that a bit.
Funny. I am trying to explain to you what you already noticed through my writing (which is a good thing because I was trying to convey all those factors). Now you are trying to explain something to me that I noticed through your writing. Namely, Ivalna being odd/alien-like. I know this is your intention, and you pulled it off well. Otherwise Hugo wouldn't have pushed her away In short, we are both doing our jobs just fine
I still don't know if there's gonna be a small battle here But if there is one. I've been checking a lot of OSTs, seeking for the most fitting one.

ok I have to apologize, I'm having a really bad evening... today was so good and now it's gone so bad not going to be able to get up a post tonight, I'm in the mood to kill off characters and I can't exactly kill Death... and Nyxx can't do anything drastic without Hugo's ok, so yeah. I might write up something random and purposeless, if I write at all.
That doesn't sound good. What happened? Well just PM me what kind of 'drastic' stuff you have in mind and I'll see if I can realistically have Hugo OK it.
