Do I use "are" or "is" in the blank: Our People ____ our Strength. I know people is plural, therefore, I would use are. But it does not quite sound right.
To make it less of a tongue twister you could flip it. Our strength is our people. Strength is singular. if that's a sentence you plan to use somewhere besides a grammar test, I would go further and rewrite it without one of the 'ours'.
