The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl Hero Type Boy Toy Goth Girl Rising Fanboy and Goth Girl is basically about this misfit comic geek that wants to get his graphic novel published. Kyra, Gothgirl, is the typical Neil Gaiman goth girl ("post-goth" she calls herself) that tries to help him with it, even though she gets really mad at him halfway through the book. Hero Type is about this kid (I forget his name, oops) that is this big hero for saving a girl from rape and murder. He was following her though, using his video camera placed in his backpack. He gets caught throwing away some "Support the Troops!" ribbons people put on their cars, sparking this huge debate over the Pledge and the flag and what really helps support our troops. Boy Toy is about Josh Mendel, this eighteen year old, still having flashbacks and trying to "get over" some sexual abuse that happened to him when he was twelve. Goth Girl Rising is the sequel to Fanboy and Goth Girl.
