    Beef vs. Chocolate

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by hoodwinked, Aug 4, 2009.

You are offered your body weight in either beef or chocolate (both in any and as many ways as you like). But here's the catch: you can't eat the rejected food again after you've rejected it, and once you've ate your weight in the chosen food, you can't eat it again, either.

So what do you choose? Beef or chocolate?

The hell with that offer from the outset. I'll have that person's guts for garters should he or she even attempt to restrict my consumption of either item.

    Can I chose beefolate? :D

EDIT ~ No! Wait! That would a combo of the two, negating the further consumption of either. Nix that.

I'm glad I said "You are offered" rather than "I offer you"

Not at all. I hust just don't bow to people "offering" to deprive me of things I enjoy.

To begin with, I could no longer make beef chili with a hint of chocolate. Unacceptable!

Damn. Why do you torture me so? I could probably live without beef... God knows what I would do if it was Chocolate vs. Pork (bbq, bacon, [some] sausage, ham, fat back [hehe], and every other part of the pig)

Remember the terms. Eventually you are deprived of BOTH. That is a killing offense.

Bison is just as good, if not better, than beef. And better for you. Of course, you can't have Wagyu and Kobe beef, which some of the best animal-eating on the planet.

I've never eaten a hamburger or even a steak in my whole life so I can do without that for sure!!! I cannot however live without chocolate. I would be a very unpleasent person if I were to end that love affair. :D

I'd choose chocolate... we eat mostly chicken around here anyway. Besides, a hundred and some odd pounds of chocolate lasts a lot longer than beef. If I were, say, four hundred and some odd pounds, I think I would go for the beef though. Four hundred pounds of chocolate I couldn't eat in a life-time. Though... I could feed the hungry...

So I was going to pick chocolate until I saw this. I definitely missed that part of the deal and seeing as I don't weigh all that much I would be out of luck real quick. Unless I ate the chocolate slowly and let it last me the rest of my life... or gained a mass amount of weight before this deal.

If I could just eat chocolate forever that would be awesome. I would pass on the beef cause, while I do enjoy it very much I'm more of a chicken person.

In protest of this terrible offer, I am going to eat both beef and chocolate tonight, although not necessarily at the same time.

Ok, wait...so eventually, we're not going to be able to eat either one? Sounds like a lose-lose to me...

I would pick chocolate and hope that as I ate my weight in chocolate, I would gain weight, so that I would never have actually eaten my weight in chocolate and could continue eating it until I died a fat, happy woman.

Chocoloate, because I'm a vegetarian. But even if I wasn't I would still choose chocolate. Beef doesn't taste very nice, imo.

I like that idea! but with me I probably wouldn't gain any weight so I would have to stick with eating chocolate slowly

They can go very well together, especially when you round out the trio with chilies. Not onlt the chili I mentiuoned above (which only adds a few semisweet chocolate chips to a full put of chili), but also slow roasted beef with a spicy chocolate-enhanced basting sauce.

    Hooray for molé!

I refuse this offer, but just in case it's one of those ones you can't I choose chocolate. I like beef a little more, but if I get my weight in things like spongey chocolate, crunch bars, and powdered hot chocolate mix it will stretch a lot farther than my weight in beef. Also, beef has a much worse prep time. ;)

How am I expected to choose?! I love them both.....

I suppose I could live without beef. I'd just eat chicken or pork or something healthier. I would miss hamburgers, but I could live.

But I would never be able to live without chocolate, which is why I pick that.

It's really just a question of which item you want to eat last.
