I've mostly finished a story about a woman who comes into possession of a sketchbook, starts drawing gruesome images in the book while she sleeps, and finds that the images she's drawn come true very soon after she wakes up. She becomes convinced that the sketchbook is causing the tragedies - as opposed to simply predicting them - but the book subverts her efforts to stop drawing more. I've received some very good advice from family about my first draft - which I feel has already made the story far better - and now I'm hoping for a more professionally-minded look at my second draft before I try submitting it to any magazines. Would anybody be interested?
I'd be interested. I also don't think you should let it hold you back. Then again, if you bother finding a publisher for your short story, you might want to wait. I don't see the fun of not sharing a good short story, who's going to publish that anyway
PM me for my email address, I'll read it. Especially if you read mine! I have two short stories about 4k as well.
