I'm a big fan of Evanovich's character, Stephanie Plum. For those of you who don't know, Stephanie is a bounty hunter. Albeit, not a very good one... however, she seems to be propelled by her sense of duty. The characters in the Plum books are full of life and the stories are filled with humor. All of the books in the series give the reader a wonderful lesson in life in " the burg", which is the section of Trenton, New Jersey where Stephanie and her family and friends live. "Big Ten" is a ride through the burg and a day in the life of Stephanie Plum... a very long day. From being humped by seven visciously horny dogs to kidnapping a known and dangerous street-gang member with the idea of "torturing" information out of him, Stephanie's days are filled with unbelievable twists and turns that keep the reader smiling all the way to the end. There is strong language and sexual inuendos, so those of you who don't like that kind of thing, this book is not for you. There is also a fair amount of violence as well as a plethora of crude humor. If you have'nt read any of the Evanovich series, I strongly recommend that you go in order for a more pleasurable experience, however, the author has a wonderful ability to bring you into the story whether you know Stephanie and the gang or not. All-in-all, "Big Ten" is a testament to Janet Evanovich's ability to keep her readers coming back for more... much like her character Stephanie seems to do, whether it's the best thing for her or not! A big thumbs up!!
