Thought I had joined this forum last year but my login failed, so I joined and came here to say hello. If you're anything like me, writing is what you do, not who you are. We transform thoughts, ideas, stories and feelings into words. And we do it to satisfy ourselves and our readers. Most of the people I meet give me the impression they see non-fiction as writing about things that are true and fiction as writing about things that are not true. I'm OK with the former but not the latter. Most of the stories I read are more true than if they had really happened. If not, I look for a story that is. And I include poetry in the art of telling stories that are true, tight, taut and tantalizing. I hope you find some or all of mine meet that criteria and look forward to enjoying yours. --Bill (qwertyportne)
