Book Conventions

Does anyone here attend book conventions or expos? Would you recommend going?

I plan on going to the National Book Festival in Washington D.C. this year.

 

I don't go to book conventions, which will change soon though.

 

Although I don't attend them, I'd really like to. But I can't imagine any conventions coming to my state that would actually be worth going to :\ And, you know, it's hard to get around anywhere else because of gas prices. Someday, hopefully.

 

I haven't been to one either but I'm planning to make my trip to the National Book Festival beneficial.
