I've recently heard of books that take place in the same universe and timeline where there are multiple stories happening written by different people that all effect each other, in each different authors story. If that makes any sense. Was curious if anyone know some books like this? Or has any experience writing like this. Sounds like it would be a really interesting read. Thanks
The Foundation universe, originally created by Azimov, has several books written by other prominent authors.
Any of the shared worlds that tie in to gaming products - Halo, Warhammer, Dungeons & Dragons, Guild Wars, Pathfinder, and so on. Also,a whole slew of Star Wars extended universe books. Buffy the Vampire Slayer novels, Star Trek novels. Any kind of major IP that a publisher thinks it can sell as novels.
